Love my spider farmer!
By far the biggest yielding grow came from using spider farmer wicking pots!! Very Easy to set up. Crazy root zone development, huge , healthy plants. Here are two tips id like to share. 1)I found when adding water adjust ph lower than usual because it creeps back up after a few days. 2) clean out the basins every now and again to ensure flow and prevent root rot etc. I definitely recommend this system.

Wish I would’ve had this six years ago
OK, one of my pains in the butt about growing is watering of course. The system is awesome because it doesn’t depend on power. If it goes out, you’d be screwed. I finished one harvest and starting another in Flower. I give them the nutrition through the top every three days Otherwise just keep the container full once a week have to fill it. Love love love this product I can go away for a weekend and not have to worry.

A good system when setup correctly.
There is nothing more enjoyable than watching your plants react in joy with all leaves pointing upwards after reaching the wet shoestring from a water basin. It's really important that you read the instructions including the yellow sticker on the plastic black device that controls the water. You'll need to remove a Styrofoam piece. Failure to do so will prevent the device from working correctly and lead to failure. Also, failure to put the gaskets in correctly from the outside into the hole in the basin will lead to failure and flooding. This is an awesome system to keep the basins full of water. I connected 7 basins to one system and it really is a time saver filling a single 14 gallon container versus each individual basin. The main 14 gallon container is well manage and I'd recommend boosting its height by putting it on a smaaaall platform so the hose goes downward into the hole in the tent. I do wish the spout hole would be lower on the 14 gallon container. That is my only complaaint. I understand they put the hole higher for the gravity system to work but i dont like thewater sitting in the basin below yhe hole. This system works well when set up correctly.

Great buy
I’m loving this system really a set and forget it easy to use and set up only thing I don’t like is not having a shut off to each base and you have to keep a eye on you reservoir for ph drift and so I’m not adjusting every day I ph lower when refilling but you can’t beat it for the price and it’s take 2 to 3 days to drift using a air stone

Great product needs to sell the pans and wicks by them selves though
Have no issues with leaking . Plants grow much faster . Just watch for the roots growing into your tubing pluging the flow.

3 stars - Bad reservoir design
Not bad it seems to work pretty good I would’ve preferred a reservoir that was a sturdy plastic. If it ripped that’s a lot of water on your floor. It’s some kind of material that’s been sewed together. Perfect for shipping horrible for longevity. You can put up the 7 gallon fabric pots on these so that’s nice Inside the reservoir where the water flows to the pots. They have the fitting up a couple inches higher than the bottom of the reservoir. So you will definitely need to mix your water up because there is a huge spot that will not drain. If you’re adding nutrients you’re going to have to count for what is in the bottom of that also unless you lift the entire reservoir up and let all of the water run into your pots if there is room. That is a horrible design. Installation was straightforward and easy The plastic pots themselves seem to be very durable. They should last numerous years as long as you keep replacing the cotton. I paid $100 almost maybe a little more. I think it was marginally worth it. I don’t think I would ever buy again. I would probably go with an auto pot system.

Excellent unit for mothering or growing plants
My opinion, this is one of the best gravity fit systems on the market they took their time. Did it right give you a product that practically guarantees excellent results

I'm glad I purchased this item.
Game changer for keeping nutrients consistent. Very useful, but be sure to use pipe tape at each connection to ensure you avoid any leaks. 50 liter capacity. Worth the cost.

This is a game changer! At first i was sceptic and i had my questions. But as a die hard Spider farmer fan boy i decided to give it a shot. This system runs like a train! At least the water supply to the plants does. My plants are overall greener healthier and stronger due to never lacking water and never overwatering. With this system i top feed organic liquid fertiliser and additives while the roots suck up clean water from below. I did elevate the system 40 cm off the ground to ensure proper gravity. A full tank last about a week and so i would suggest you give this system a shot and enjoy your vacation. At half the price but with the same quality as the competition, this is a 5 out of 5 all day. W!

Great concept, but needs refinement I've had a few successful grows using this system, and overall, I really like the design. However, I do have a few gripes—mainly with the reservoir setup. The water access hole is positioned too high, making it awkward to use efficiently. I ended up building my own 5-gallon bucket with a bottom-side drain and bulkhead, which worked much better. Also, the fact that you can't buy just extra bases is frustrating. A 50L reservoir for only two plants feels like overkill, especially when you need nearly 20L just to get the feed started. It's a bit excessive and not ideal for smaller setups. I love the concept and want to see where it goes, but the current execution needs a few tweaks. At this price point, it's a bit expensive for DIY users and not quite dialed in for a minimal plant count. I’ll be watching for future updates before purchasing again

This is a great gravity feed system. At first I was sceptical weather the wicking action would be great enough to feed the plants. After having the system on for 5 days, I’ve had to fill my reservoir again. The plants are staying healthy and don’t look under or over watered. What I like about this system is it’s gravity fed and float controlled so no pumps required.

This automatic irrigation system is one of the most practical additions to my setup. Installation is straightforward, water distribution is uniform, and the system significantly reduces daily manual work. It’s especially useful for maintaining consistency during vegetative and flowering stages, and gives peace of mind when away from the grow. For its price and simplicity, it delivers excellent value and reliability. Pros: Easy to install and configure Uniform water distribution Ideal for automation Saves time and reduces human error Cons: None so far
