The golden one looks incredibly expensive in person and makes the PERFECT gift. It comes by default with the password "I LOVE U" with 2 rings inside after opened. For those wondering the password can also be changed to any 6 letters you desire. I got this for Christmas to hide money inside as he is difficult to shop for. The box it comes in is as high quality as the golden holder itself. Truly remarkable and would repurchase it in a heatbeat.

Cryptex Da Vinci Code Money Puzzle Box for Cash Gift Puzzle Boxes with Hidden Compartments Valentine's Day Gift for Boy Birthday Gifts for Her Gifts for Girlfriend Gifts for Men Gift for Mom (Brass)when i unboxed this i was pleasantly surprised, because although i ordered the brass one, i was mostly expected a plastic device with some kind of metallic looking plating. this appears to be perhaps potmetal or some similar alloy with antiqued brass plate. the result is that it is nice and heavy to the touch. it feels genuine and authentic. like a real machined puzzle box. it is not i suspect it is mostly cast parts, but upon handling it is quite impressive. there are 2 arrows on the outer most rings. you turn the inner dials until the password is lined up between the arrows. and the end then slides out, it slides out with some difficulty but it does. the inside compartment is pretty small but enough to hold a secret note, cash and a usb stick. but it is a novelty device. the furthest end can be undone by turning and then removing 2 screws. which is handy if password is forgotton. but obviously not for holding your encrypted bitcoin usb for safe keeping. for a fancy gift to a graduate or a child i think this is a pretty slick doodad.

I was throughly impressed with the craftsmanship and presentation of this item. It appears like something you would find in a Harry Potter story. Great look and solid feel to it. Could not be happier with the purchase!

I'm honestly impressed this didnt cost more. It's heavy, solid metal construction. Beautiful design, works well. Easy to configure for whatever combination you want and includes the a tiny screwdriver needed to do so. If this were available in other designs, i.e. scifi, middle earth, cyberpunk, I'd be tempted to get them too. I like this thing. Mine came with a cute little surprise gift inside...
