Work great. Only thing is that it sat in mailbox over night and was 10° next day and it would not come out of tube. Once I warmed up work great.after dipped tank no color change so I put water on it and it did change color. So don't keep it in the freezer

Had to use this to check my fuel tank to see if there was water mixed with the fuel. When I pulled the stick out, it hadn't turned color, but a cup of water did. Works great, and the safe stuff my fuel company uses.

Works as advertised. Used to detect water present in heating oil tanks. Nice to know to detect a leak before winter and you do not have heat when it gets below freezing. Test tanks at houses couple times a year.

I’m a 73 year old retired marine machinery mechanic.Used this my whole career to test for water in machinery lubricants. Changes color and is easy to tell if water is present in any type of gear oil or engine oil.

The item worked as intended, it appears that someone has used a small amount of this before. Also, I was surprised there was no tamper seal on the tube. Regardless, there is more than enough in this tube for a lifetime.

I purchased this to test the fuel in my neighbor's boat. After pulling a sample from his fuel line and one from the tank, we left them to sit in mason jars to see if there had been any separation. Although none was seen, we put a smear of the paste on two index cards and dipped them into the jars. No indication. We tested a control sample with some water mixed in with the fuel, and the color instantly jumped to red. I'm not sure if its able to indicate how much water is in the fuel (different shades), but it definitely did tell me that the control was contaminated. This is great stuff and saved us time in diagnosing an issue, as well as the time and cost of potentially having to polish all of that fuel.
