This has been a perfectly working dock. I did get the 100w adapter and recommend anyone buying this do the same. I have my Asus ROG Xbox ally X connected to it. HDMI works great, unit stays charged, my mouse and keyboard work with no lag, or hiccups. Even use a controller with it and no issues. Ethernet connection works without issues as well. Buy this and the 100w adapter you won’t regret it.

Works fine on TV after setting to 60Hz in FHD. Some reviews say audio cuts out every minute or so, and usb wireless device reception low. This happened to me too, because I had 59.94Hz refresh on setting by default. The moment I put it to 60Hz, it goes fine.

Lasted less than a year. In approx 5 months it started giving connection problems while randomly using it, the display will disconnect and connect every 10 minutes or so, extremely annoying and extremely dissatisfied. Yeah sure when it doesn't do it, it is a fantastic product, many usb ports, a god ethernet port too. I keep using it as a usb hub and it has been almost a year but the important part which is the docking hdmi is having problems and it doesn't feel good. EDIT: After doing my initial 1 star review I got a message from support where they address my issue and even get a replacement unit. Honestly I didn't expect any of that, so they were better than expected. Thanks again for everything.

Nice construction on this build. Metal instead of plastic, sturdy and no fear of breaking it if I travel with it. Does not include an HDMI cable, so source one of those. Tried it with my ROG Ally, picture was great and sound was on par. 3 USB ports are great for the mouse and keyboard. PD is working and the Ally was charging as if it was plugged directly in. Worth the price for sure. Haven't used it with my Steam Deck just yet. That has it's own dock for now. My only complaint is no power button. This thing is always on. Don't leave your system plugged in, it will shorten the already low battery life of your Ally. Add a power button to switch it off and it's 5 stars for sure. Recommend without a doubt, just be aware of the one short coming.

Amazing dock for my ROG Ally Z1 Extreme! Even lets me dock with my Skull & Co case on! I am buying 2. One for my office and 1 for living room. My ROG is now my daily driver PC! Who woulda thought?

I've been trying to make this product work for playing my Ally on the TV for about a year and honestly I'm pretty disappointed. First of all if you're looking for seamless docking plug and play on the TV like a switch this is not it. I've spent more time fiddling with getting the controller to sync properly than actually playing games. Something about how most games run when connected to this dock is extremely laggy, and lots of input delay... I've basically given up on trying to run the ally on any other screen after hours of troubleshooting. Additionally and probably my biggest gripe is that the battery will drain while running the screen to the TV even with athe recommended 100w charger connected. So even if you get the settings perfect... You're at the mercy of a draining battery on the dock. At this point all I use this for is a direct Ethernet connection to my Ally when downloading games... That and charging when there arent any apps running is about all this thing does well. I see lots of other good reviews so maybe I got a dud or something... Pretty frustrated with the time I've spend getting less than ideal performance.

If you want 30 watts turbo and vrr on your tv/monitor it works great if your tv supports it, just make sure you use the adapter your rog came with or one that's 100 watts . It didn't work at first and I was only getting 480p but swapped to my 8k hmdi that I got from Amazon for 9.99 on and it works great with it. I don't know if that's a dock issue or just a finicky hdmi issue regardless easy fix. So far works perfectly if anything changes I'll update this review. If you still see this it's still working perfectly for me ;) .

The docking station type C connector to the handheld sometimes stuck and the angle is very annoying when you try to connect or disconnect the station.

This dock is simply perfect for my Steam Deck, and based on the description, should support a few other mainstream handheld devices as well. It's just plug-and-play. I plugged the usb-C from the dock to my Steam Deck, plugged in my Steam Deck charger to the dock, plugged the HDMI from my 1440p monitor, and it just worked. One small step I had to do specific for the Steam Deck was to go to the Advanced Display settings and allow Max resolution to whatever your display allows. In my case it was 1440p, but it also showed 4k since my monitor supports 4k even though the true resolution is only 1440p. That's it! Just like that, your handheld device is now essentially a PC.

PD is working with the original charger. I can go up to 4k 60hertz via connected to the TV. Using 1G fiber connection, speedtest download:835Mbps upload:940Mbps So far so good works well as intended via desktop mode.

After browsing all the different docking stations on Amazon I purchased the dock for my ASUS rog ally and I am really happy with my decision! Price/Value - Well worth the price and value Design - Very well designed, doesn’t block any of the ROG Ally fan vents Quality - Well built, feels like a quality item, sturdy and holds the device without any issues. Ports - Ports all work well as described and have the perfect amount of inputs for peripherals. Would like it to have some USB-C ports but other then that it’s perfect!
