De'Longhi Front Loading Filter Coffee Maker 10-15 Cup Capacity Digital with Timer ICM15250, 1.3 L, 1000 W - Black

A very good buy. I don't have to get up in the early hours of morning with sleepy eyes to make coffee. The machines timer does that for me. So good I purchased 2. One for me and one for a friend. It was also £17 cheaper (each) on Amazon compared to high street prices.

Great coffee maker and the front load feature saves pulling it out from under the wall cupboards. Heater plate turns off after only 40 mins though (probably another useless EU directive) so we keep turning it back on, the last one was 2 hours and much more useful in that respect.

I ordered and received this machine in March and at first everything was hunky dory. My previous Delonghi coffee machine, which I'd bought about 3/4 years earlier for just over £20, had finally given up the ghost. This was a much more expensive model but frankly didn't do anything better than my previous model but was ok...we were reasonably happy. Then Sod's Law took effect. After a month...so just over Amazon's 30 day replacement period...the green light on the aroma button, which is only supposed to light when the button is pressed to infuse the room with the nice smell of perculating coffee, started flashing constantly. The only time it stopped is when the machine was actually making coffee or we unplugged it. If it had happened within 30 days we'd have sent it back to Amazon. As it didn't, although a bit of a pain, maybe it wasn't worth going to the trouble of contacting the manufacturer etc. Then the lid/handle of the jug started to loosen and came off just after I'd filled it with cold water to pour into the machine, flooding our kitchen work surface! I was lucky...it could have contained hot coffee and smashed. I daren't imagine. So now, after just over a month, I'm going through the palaver of contacting Amazon, the manufacturer, sending it back etc. To be fair, maybe I was just unlucky and my machine was a dud, but unless I have to I won't be asking for a replacement and my trust in this brand/model has been irretrievably tarnished. To summarise, based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this machine.

Good but when closing filter compartment some times filters are pushed down creating a mess

Quater of the price of fancy makers. Simpler than most. Choice of coffees. Can be left under cupboards as it's side fill. Coffee is cheaper. Carbon footprint is lower.

Purchased the Delonghi ICM15250 Filter Coffee Maker at the end of April. Within the first week of receiving the coffee maker and using it just once a day, the plastic handle on the jug became loose, and was only attached at the front end where the pouring spout is. I called Delonghi and explained about the problem, seemed very helpful and said they would replace the jug, and to bin the old one. That was on the 7thy May and am still awaiting delivery of the new jug. After reading the other review it seems that I am not the only one to have this problem. I also note that searches on google for this coffee maker, return very few retailers selling it - other than Amazon, I wonder why ???. I though perhaps I was the unlucky one to receive a defect one off unit - seems not. I believe this could be a manufacturing faulty which could be dangerous if the the handle were to come off whilst the jug was full of hot coffee - could result in serious burns !!.
