super easy and perfect for movie nights
Absolutely impressed with the Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K ! Setup was super easy with auto-focus and keystone correction. The 4K laser projection is sharp and vibrant, even with some ambient light. Android TV runs smoothly, and the included dongle gives access to all major apps. Built-in speakers are decent for small to medium rooms. The design is sleek and portable with a sturdy handle. Perfect for home theater or backyard movie nights. Highly recommended for anyone looking for premium quality at a better price point!

I found the 3D on this model! It is great!
As others have mentioned the picture is crisp and clear even for 1080p movies at a large size, they look great. As expected, lights in the room on the screen do quickly degrade the quality when not using a good screen. 3D on this model is easy to set up using the device settings and is the best 3D I've seen when paired with good active 3D glasses. One last thing is sound quality. From the reviews, I had expected a decent loud audio from the unit and am now using a separate speaker for audio. For refurbished, this unit looked new and is very easy to set up.

Great product
Very good, got a few issues with it where it randomly flickers and turns blank when watching in 4k for prolonged times Pictures quality is amazing Using it with my apple tv and homepods so i cant tell how it sounds like Very easy to setup Very nice contrast and color saturation

Stunning 4K Picture with Smart Features
The NEBULA Cosmos 4K SE delivers crisp 4K UHD picture quality with Dolby Vision support and vibrant color reproduction, making movies and shows look stunning on a big screen up to 200″. Its HybridBeam light engine and 1,800 ANSI lumens brightness bring rich images even in moderately lit rooms, while built‑in Google TV offers seamless access to streaming apps without extra devices. Setup is easy with autofocus, auto keystone, and wall‑color calibration, and the included speakers provide surprisingly solid sound for casual viewing. However, contrast and black levels can fall short in darker scenes, and the software UI may feel sluggish at times—issues that keep it from being truly premium. Still, it’s a great all‑in‑one 4K smart projector for home cinema on a mid‑range budget.

Ok projector but not so much during the daylight outdoors
Good projector accept that you can’t see much during daylight hours while set up outdoors or even inside.. I have to close all my blinds during the day to see this the picture well and even that really isn’t enough.., Another thing I don’t like is that on these refurbished units they don’t offer that long of a warranty. You get a 90 day warranty on them and at about a year my power supply blew and now I’m out all that money for a projector. The manufacturer won’t even take it back for repairs for any type of repair. I sent it to 3 different repair places and nobody wanted to work on it. After all this I bought a brand new one and it even has some quirks. It just shuts off sometimes or will back out of what your watching a few minutes after start up. Just boggles my mind that even the manufacturer doesn’t even want to work on repairs. If you do purchase this projector the do yourself the favor and definitely get the extended warranty or the insurance on it. Trust me on this. I’m kicking myself now. Also I wouldn’t even buy a refurbished unit ever again. Only buy these new. Really mad that they won’t even take it back for repairs. Shame on them.

Prime Day 2025, Asurion issue
Prime Day, 2025. Asurion cancelled my 3 yr. Ext. warranty, with no reason given; which is forcing me to return what looks like a stellar product. I've only tested the unit (as it was listed as "Renewed") for DOA. But it should be duly noted, that the Cosmos 4K SE, is impressive. For a budget minded projector, it checks all of the boxes: Surprisingly good internal speakers eARC, for easy 2.1 sound Almost idiot proof interface, for quick setup (e.g. auto white balance & keystone) Carry handle, for portability

Decent video, but software is lacking
I bought this alongside another cheaper non-laser projector, tested them both, and decided to keep the other one. Here are the pros and cons of this projector: Pros: - Picture quality was very good, contrast was better than the LED alternative. Audio was impressive as well. - Came with android TV 12 instead of version 10, which was a pleasant surprise. - I liked the idea of the dongle being replaceable, but I couldn’t find anything that indicated they intend it to be upgradable in the future. Cons: - The device doesn’t work without the dongle, for example, you cannot just hook up an HDMI device and project if the dongle is missing or broken. - Unlike the other LED projector I kept, this one cannot connect to a Bluetooth audio device like headphones or speakers if it’s taking the input from HDMI. So if you intend to use another dongle with this, you are restricted to the internal speakers or have to hook up to the aux port in the back. - YouTube playback even with 1080p was choppy, and the audio was choppy as well on Bluetooth headphones. I think the processor is not fast enough for the codecs. - The projector doesn’t have much of a vertical throw, meaning if you put it level on a table (like you would ideally want to), the bottom of the image will be below the projector’s level. So the tall projector and its bold handle will likely block the view. - The heavy and upright design of this projector makes it unstable on a tripod, it’s mostly intended to be used on a table, which makes positioning and adjustments difficult. All in all, audio/video is great but software and capabilities are limited for this price point. This could still work great for you if you want something simple, decent-quality, and portable, and the details above don’t really matter to you.

Best value
I don’t usually do reviews but this is one of the best 4k projector u can buy for the price. The sound and the visual quality is so bright. It’s portable and so easy to set up. U don’t need anything else to get started.

I read great reviews about the Nebula Cosmo 4K SE, so when I saw a refurbished model on sale I jumped to the chance to buy it right away. The price was too good to pass up. One thing that is understated in user reviews is the low contrast ratio. Even in a dark room with velvet wall curtains to absorb bounce light, the blacks levels on the projector are worse than bad. Another note is that this projector isn’t true native 4K. It uses a 0.47-inch native 1080p micromirror DLP chip that achieves 4K-like picture quality using pixel shifting technology. It’s 1080p native but shifts the sensor to a degree that it fakes a 4K image. Given the price point at which I bought it at, the image quality is fine minus the black levels. Another flaw about the projector is that it requires 1.5 meters for the auto keystone to come into effect. Out of the box I thought I got a lemon unit because the projector kept giving me a sensor error as it failed to keystone or focus. After moving the projector approximately 1.5m away from a wall the auto keystone worked as long as I go into the screen menu. Using the auto keystone button on the controller always led to a sensor error. Perhaps I did get a bad unit or it’s just a quirk of the firmware. The problem with video reviews on YouTube is that they don’t mention any of these issues about the required distance and janky auto keystone functions. I’ve had the projector for about 2 weeks and I must have seen the “Contact support” popup window at least 30 times. But, again…due to the price point, I can live with a few quirks. If your budget is under CAD$1400 after taxes this unit is fine….but if you have a larger budget of $CAD10,000 before taxes, save your money for a true 4K projector. This unit was in my price range….if you can afford something better, don't buy the Cosmos 4K SE.
