This chess set is absolutely beautiful and great quality. The moment I opened the box, I was impressed by how elegant it looks — the marbled wooden board has a classic yet modern style that really stands out. The acrylic pieces are nicely weighted, shiny, and feel very sturdy. They look amazing when set up on the board. The 15-inch size is just right — not too big, not too small — perfect for playing comfortably. I love that the board folds in half, making it super convenient to store or take along when traveling. It’s a great set for family game nights or as a thoughtful gift. The quality and presentation are excellent, and it looks even prettier in person than in the pictures. Totally worth it!

Absolutely Gorgeous! I did have to send the first chest set that I received back because of it being damaged. However, I got a replacement very quickly and it was worth a second try. I gifted this to my son for Christmas and he loved it. Very sturdy and well built. Definitely was a great value for the money spent. I did not take a photo of the new chest set that I received so the one I’m showing unfortunately was the damaged one, but I wanted you to see how beautiful and well constructed the pieces are.

The chess set is beautiful and made of good quality. The board is beautiful along with the pieces. The pieces are a nice size with a nice weight to them. Greatly appreciate the sellers customer service.

Great product. We wanted something to teach a family member how to play on, and this met the need. Pieces were beautiful and of a good solid weight. No missing pieces. There were some very minor issues, like an almost imperceptible bump in the board, and the foam on the inside that holds the pieces was a little too tight, like it was hard to get the pieces in and out of their respective slots, but overall, great product and good value for the money spent.

First thing to kno, Im breaking my vow to write this review...was mad amazon never put me in the Vine club after all my reviews and money spent. but this chess set deserves praise... Hesitant at first due to price and size, Paid $52.32 (Black fri deal)...but full price (60+) would have been well worth it IMO. 15'' sounded small for such a price but seems larger in person...actually perfect. Way heavier than expected...pieces and board seem very well made and solid. Like the look/fact it has notation. If you look at the seller's provided pics, one of them shows a board with no notation on it. The foam storage area...Pieces fit very snug. Not a cheap foam either. Almost challenging to get the pieces out. And I was happy the color of the foam is Black (Thought I saw green in review pics) Happy it came with a storage bag a nice box to prevent scratching when not in use/mobile. Felt/protection on the bottom of the pieces isn't your typical/fuzzy green...more of a thin rubberish sticker and black (better IMO) I was worried how the random marbling would look...especially since it differs in color, Wht vs blk...the black pieces have a copper/gold tint, and the white pieces more of a reddish brown/gold. Noticing that prior to purchase almost made me abort final sale. however, it looks fine in person, maybe the color tint is stronger on the white in order to pop more. No real defects to complain about...one of the white pawn's marbling turns to grey on the head..but doesnt look too bad...and a few of the felts weren't completely flat (but fixable) Im 48yo...owed and a played with many chess sets...this one is high on my fav list

It's very good and large.. Sturdy heavy pieces. Beautiful. Only minor issues: the bottom covers of the pieces seem to eventually wear off, but that's fixable. Factory smell is very strong on arrival! Minor imperfections. My nephews love it.

Beautiful set with some good weight. But one of my pawns has a lopsided top, and that's very distracting at times.

I got this set as a last-minute Christmas gift to myself out of curiosity after reading the reviews of other Amazon customers. I can confirm it's very beautiful; all the pieces were inside the foldable board, none were missing or damaged, and it has no scratches or dents. It's worth it if you're searching for a Christmas or birthday present for a chess player but are on a budget and can't spend much more on a more expensive luxury set. As one reviewer noted, it's not too large or too small; it has just the right balance for the price range; you can't go wrong.

Looks great and can be packed away. You can tell it’s not marble but it has streaks of gold and honestly I don’t need more marble anyways this is great. Came with backgammon punch too and instructions I never read cuz idc about that. Like the game but it’s just a pawn in my project to build a robotic arm with stereoscopic cams and a nvidia jetson 8GB origin to make an opponent no human can beat all without a more intelligent algorithm (apparently the best chess bots run on a normal cpu but are created by advanced AI so I’m sure there’s apps that can beat IBM deepblue ez now. Unless Ive been misguided. Robot arm gonna smack your king across the room when it slaps you. All fits perfect in the 8GB don’t even need to mess with swapping models from the shared mem

I haven’t remove the protective plastic yet- it’s going to be a Xmas gift- but so far I’m impressed. It’s solid, pretty heavy and from the picture the pawns look amazing.

Use it every night with my son. The pieces are beautiful, smooth and very well made.
