The wood is smooth and well-made, so my chickens have no trouble gripping it without hurting their feet. Comfortable Design: The rounded edges and smooth finish help keep my chickens’ feet healthy and prevent injuries. Easy to Install: Came with clear instructions and all the hardware needed. It mounted easily inside the coop. Perfect Size: The length and diameter are just right for my hens to comfortably perch side by side. Good Value: High quality for the price — it feels like it will last a long time. Cons: Needs Some Maintenance: Like any wooden coop accessory, I’ll be sanding and sealing it occasionally to keep it in top shape. Love it! We had to rig it differently because of the way our coop is set up! But, it works! And I can tell my chickens love it! It was easy to put together, light weight so I was able to carry it to the coop as well by myself. It came with all the parts and sturdy!

The first perch I received was missing hardware. So if you order this, check the box immediately for all the parts. Sometimes I can't get to my projects in time and miss my return window, so I'm glad I didn't wait around with this one. Replacement was only a bit of a pain. Really dislike the UPS QR code where you can only drop off at actual UPS stores. Very inconvenient, especially if you live far away from a UPS store. But that little hiccup aside, the replacement perch I received was complete with all the hardware. Putting it together was mostly easy, the holes are designed where you try to put it together wrong, it won't work. The instructions are a bit lacking, but so it is with everything these days. The only reason I took off a star is because this is not as sturdy as I would like it to be, and the only way to attach the top part is to the right size fence post. It would be nice to have an option for a different attachment, but I managed to make it work. The chickens used it from day one. They are not complaining.

My bird ladies love to relax on these bars during the day! They were easy to put together, lightweight but sturdy, and easy to move around the coop as needed. They fit perfect in our space. These perform as intended and the design is sleek and simple. The value was just right for the price paid. I would purchase these again if we expand our coop. I do not use these as indoor roosting bars because they’re too small and round for long term roosting.
