Accurate & reliable display/sensor with great Google Home integration - easy to setup!
Very pleased with this product, which was easy to setup on the SwitchBot App & with Google Home integration. The unit is well made, and very neat & compact - the display is bright and easy to read and can be angled using the built-in stand on the rear. Temperature & humidity readings have very good accuracy and appear to be much better than my old weather stations. What I have found very useful is the integration with Google, which can read out the temperature/humidity of the room/outside when asked via voice. The Meter Pro unit communicates via BLE rather than Wifi to the outdoor temperature sensor (~10-12m), but this can be extended by using a Hub Mini/Hub2/Hub3 if needed (separate purchase) to act as a repeater to other SwitchBot devices/your phone - this then also enables general Internet connectivity & Matter compatibility if required, and allows storage of sensor data in the Cloud (which is free). This combination appears to be ideal especially with multiple SwitchBot devices in your home (I am using 4 Meter Pros in and around the house). Overall, this provides a great eco system for temperature/humidity monitoring in the house & garden and the stability/accuracy have proved to be of great value in comparison to other similar devices I have looked at.

Useful bit of kit
The SwitchBot Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor consists of 3 items. The latest hub mini, the large screen Meter Pro and an external sensor. I've been using SwitchBot products for several years and this kit is a useful addition. It’s all pretty straightforward to set up. Latest Hub Mini The latest hub is similar to the previous version with the addition of being matter enabled. Note that this version doesn’t have a screen. I believe you need an Apple Home Hub to make the most of this extra matter functionality which I don’t own. Meter Pro This has a large screen version of the previous model with the additional capabilities of showing the current time and date and the temperature and humidity of itself and also an additional device e.g. an external sensor. This is certainly an improvement over the older model. I would have preferred it if the current time and date were larger though. Outdoor Sensor I have 2 of them, one of which I have been using outside to monitor the outside temperature and humidity. It corresponds accurately to the weather forecast except when the meter has the Sun on it which is to be expected. The other one I'm using to monitor the temperature of an underfloor heating pipe which works as expected. I like the fact that it uses 2 x AAA batteries rather than the less common button batteries. It was easy to setup and the graphs present the readings in a useful way. Alexa can report the temperature but not the humidity of my outdoor meters (she just returns the humidity of one of my indoor meters) - I believe this is a bug they are working on. Both are displayed and recorded in the app which is fine for my purposes. I’m happy to recommend the kit.

Very good ... when set up, but some frustrations!
The setup between the hub (wifi), app, meter and sensor is very straight forward. Initially the frustrating bit was firmware updates. It would get stuck at 10% when updating the hub. After a bit of research, I made sure that wifi/vpn was not connected on my phone and used cellular (4G). After a reboot of the hub, and another attempt, the firmware installed fine .... also to the meter and sensor. Then the real fight .... adding to Amazon Alexa. Added the hub just fine after installing the SwitchBot skill, and Alexa recognised all 3 devices (hub, meter and sensor). However when attempting to create a routine, none of the devices were showing in the "smart home" section. After several re-links/disabling the skill, and removing the devices and re-adding, still no joy!! I was about to pack it all up and return it. Before I did, I headed back to the SwitchBot app, and dug into settings, and had to add the meter and sensor as "secondary devices"! IIRC, this was achieved by selecting the hub in the main "home" screen of the app, hitting the cog(settings) at the top right > Matter Setup > Secondary Devices .... lo and behold, the meter and sensor were showing as "Available", so I added them. Then in Alexa, the devices now showed up in smart home when creating a routine! This was hard work!! Another thing to note, regardless of what temp sensor you have (SwitchBot/Echo or another), the routines has a bug where very granular conditions need to exist for it to work on temperature triggers, as shown by google searches. Amazon needs to fix this as it is pretty much impossible to create working routines based on temp sensors! Finally, now all setup, the meter displays the indoor/outdoor sensor nicely, and the app is good for monitoring my garden room. It will NOT be going back now :-)

Reliable and useful temperature and humidity sensor display
Switchbot Meter pro. I find this a very useful product for two main reasons. 1) The size and clarity of the display make it very readable to older eyes. 2) The ability to have multiple temperature readings is something I need. Ideally having more than two sets of temperature readings would be even better. I'm a fan of the SwitchBot meter products of different generations and capabilities. They are reasonably priced and frequently discounted or on special offer for a bundle. My SwitchBot products work really well in my smart home and are generally more reliable than my other similar products from other manufacturers and seem to have a very good battery life which makes them an easy recommendation.

Offre: Precisione nelle letture ambientali. Bought this as a simple weatherstation for the backyard but it is so much more. I have it linked to google home so can see everything from anywhere . The setup was extremely easy and done within minutes, the only thing that could be improved is that the matter integration with google home does more than just showing the hub and not the sensors. The regular google home integration works great though. Soon I will be placing sensors all over the house to replace the zigbee sensors I currently have.
