Instant Regret Chilli Chocolate

Well, I’m shamelessly writing this review from my new home (aka the bathroom) as that’s where I’ll be for the next 24 hours. A couple of our group decided that this would be a great challenge to do. After all, we’d already done the one chip challenge so this seemed like the natural next step. What could go wrong, right? Well. Gubbins here decided that I’d show off a little. I’d seen the video reviews, the reactions, I knew the challenge was “2 squares” and to last for 5 minutes without relief. “I got this” I thought, and promptly did a live streamed video with me eating 3 full strips (12 squares) then sitting for 15 minutes with no relief. That being said, the chocolate itself tastes nice, even if it does whack you in the face with a sledgehammer! The live challenge seemed to go well at the time. First 5 minutes were a little agony. There was plenty of golden facial expressions, a sprinkling of expletives and a fair whack of dribble. 15 minutes… yep, knocked that out the park too. However, have you ever had one of those “that seemed like a good idea at the time” moments, for it to turn out to be the absolute polar opposite? Yeah, that happened too. Later that evening, I seriously thought I’d done myself an injury. My mouth felt a little strange, couldn’t feel my tongue properly, and everything tasted funny. In these troubled times with COVID-19 that was a little bit of a panic. However, I knew the root cause of this sensation though! Went to bed that night with the farts, the numbness, and the unsettled tummy. This morning I’ve woken up thinking I’ve done myself a proper injury. Sat on the loo, with uncontrollable amounts of fluid coming out of every imaginable orifice and wondering when it might ever come to an end. So, my honest review of this product. Does it taste nice? Deceivingly so. Is it hot and spicy? Hell yes Does it feel like 6.4 million scoville units of heat? Probably not. I’d put it on par with the one chip challenge, only this one tastes far nicer. Is it Instant Regret? There’s an element of instant regret. Especially if you don’t like spicy food. However, it’s the long term regret that does it for me! Would I recommend it? If you’re into these challenges, yes, definitely. However, stick to the challenge, DON’T try and show off!

They're not lying when they say it's Chilli Chocolate... the hottest thing I've ever had. But it's very deceiving as it doesn't smell like chilli at all. But as soon as the chocolate melts in your mouth it's game over lol. Very good for a prank on people who can't keep there hands off your food.

Does exactly what it says, it will kick your bum for a solid 10 minutes and you can feel the after effects a day later. Extremely hot and very painful. Can’t taste much flavor as it just tastes like you’ve stuck your tongue in acid. Was a great eating challenge and had lots of fun prancing friends with it.

This chocolate came with high expectations and i must say i was slightly disappointed. The chocolate tastes delicious with a subtle hint of vanilla but when the heat kicks in there's no going back! i wanted tears and sweat but all i got was the same heat sensation as eating a large handful of Jalapenos! Overall i enjoyed the chocolate and flavour but wanted more heat.

I should start by saying I hardly ever leave reviews. Bought this for my macho friend Steve who will never say no to a challenge. Being the sharing type he also let me try. The initial taste is actually quite nice, dark chocolatey taste with a hint of spice. And then the pain comes. I now know to within a millimetre where my oesophagus lies within my body. I also know where it lies outside of my body - in Steve's toilet bowl. Some powerful stuff. I had pins and needles in my eyeballs for about 20 minutes after eating. My girlfriend, who is Indonesian and self-styled spicy food afficiando did better - it was a full hour before she threw up. Does what it says on the very nicely presented packaging. 10/10 would throw up again.

We bought this for my brother In law as a prank (he’s a lover of hot food). He took a bite of half a square of this chocolate and walked around drinking water and panting for about an hour. Very hot apparently!

Went in with caution and the first 3-5 seconds were very nice. Great flavour. Then... ....WOW! Heavy breathing and tears as we set the 5-minute timer before drinking anything. Great bit of fun in a group of spice lovers.

Not for the faint hearted. Was a Christmas gift for a family member, good for a prank but not my idea of a nice chocolate bar.
