Decent kitchen scale at a great price for baking bread
I purchased this to help me achieve consistent results when baking bread. This particular scale shows up in a lot of kitchen reviews. It's usually rated number one. Having used this for a couple of weeks I think the judgement is justified. I confess I was dubious -- the thing is made of plastic -- but it works really well, and I'm getting consistent baking results. It was not expensive, it's light, and relatively small and therefore easy to store. The display is easy to read. It does do ounces, and I screwed up a recipe when I assumed it was in grams -- 15.9 ounces is not 159 grams. It was clearly displayed. I just didn't look. The tare button works well, and it auto-tares when you turn it on. So if I have a container on the scale when I turn it on, it sets itself to zero -- convenient. It does not do half-grams. If you're using a large bowl/container, the container may overshadow your display. It's not super-fast -- I add flour, and it takes a second or two for the display to catch up. But overall I'm really pleased with it.

This scale does not weigh heavy on my mind
Using this little contraption should scarcely be easier: Stagger into kitchen. Press On button. Place small container on scale. Press On again, and scale resets to zero, so the next weight you see (grams or ounces) will be of the contents—coffee beans, jelly beans, black powder, whatever—NOT including the container. Remove container. Boopity-bop.

Great for small jobs
Bought it because it was well-reviewed for accuracy (and no problems, there). The only difficulty is seeing the readout when you’re measuring a larger bowl that sticks out from the scale pad. Them’s the breaks; I like that this is small enough to stay out of the way.

Not sensitive enough
We use these at school so I thought I was safe buying one. I was wrong. It doesn’t work at all like the 2 year old ones at school. It only measures in .5 oz increments. I cannot get it to calibrate to be more sensitive like the others I use. I don’t know what’s changed but I’m bummed. It’s Also a pain to return. I have to drive 13 miles instead of taking it to my local Whole Foods. Not a fan.

Not accurate
The scale was not accurate. I have been weighing food for a while and I have been eating the same foods for long enough that I have an idea of the ballpark of the weight. I bought another, more expensive scale and this scale was off enough that it would've made a difference by the end of the day.

Out2 error message announces that the unit has reached the end of its useful life.
Worked well, but flashed the Out2 error message after 2 years and 10 months of use. That error message basically announces that the unit is toast. I think $30 is pretty expensive for a unit with such a short lifespan.
