I recently purchased this hospital bed for my terminally ill father, and it has fully lived up to my expectations. The build quality is outstanding—both sturdy and dependable. The adjustable features, especially the head and foot sections, work perfectly as described, providing excellent neck support and much-needed elevation for his foot edema. The included mattress is both supportive and comfortable. To further prevent bedsores during extended periods in bed, I added an air mattress on top, and it fits seamlessly without compromising the functionality of the side rails. The remote control is incredibly intuitive, and even with my father’s limited hand dexterity, he can easily operate it himself. The bed arrived ahead of schedule, and assembly was a breeze—straightforward and quick, without even needing the instructions. Overall, this hospital bed has made caregiving so much easier and improved the quality of life for my dad. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable hospital bed for home use.

It is definitely ranked as one of the most solidly make equipment i ever bought, just like the old Schwinn all steel bicycles. I will last and last, only the motors burn out. Now, the important caution or mistake i made. Make sure you open the box with the bed facing up. I didn’t. With 200 lbs bed sitting face down, see photo, you need two strong person to flip it over. I had to hire two men from a local SF Bay company called Dolly for help. They came within 6 hours.

This bed is excellent and so very helpful. It’s heavy, easy to assemble if you follow the directions, works well. Worth the price.

This bed is extremely well made, very strong and will last a lifetime. The down side is that it is quite heay. We had to tip the delivery people to bring it up our driveway. The assembly instructions were clar and easy to follow, but we needed a few tools. It took two persons and adolly to bring it inside the house. My wife, who is bed-ridden, has been very comforatble and not complained. Her care nurse like ability to rais the bed to a convenient height. The motors run smoothly and can handle a heavy weight. The shipment on Amazon came directly from China via airfreight and by truck direct from the airport. THere were no import charges or paperwork, but these might start in the future. The shipping container was very strong wood/cardboard (well designed) and received no damage during shipment. From the photograph, the same bed was sold by other vendors at $300 to $600 higher price.

Everybody that comes over to see my mother the first time is amazed she has a real hospital bed. They make a big deal out of how nice it is, too. It's quiet, you can raise the bed up or down and not wake her up. The mattress is very firm. We had to get a mattress topper to soften it up. The mattress is not sitting on springs. It sits on a flat surface. That means when she rolls over it's quiet. And no springs sticking you in the back. The wheels are big enough. When you lock them they stay locked until you unlock them. It's easy to clean. Even the mattress can be wiped down. It's way better than the cheaper ones. Well worth the extra money.

It's been in use for almost a week and my mom likes it. I was going to give it 4 stars because the mattress is very firm, but that was resolved with an inflatable mattress topper. Otherwise, it's well constructed. Definitely need two people or more to move. It's well built. Assembly was easy, except the instructions are vague. Installing the handrails isn't well explained. Raise the bed vertically with hand controller. Position the handrail just behind the hole for the IV post allowing clearance of the siderail handle. Amazon says they cover it's warranty. I would hate to have to ship this 200 lbs. beast back to them. So far, so good!

I bought the bed for my grandpa who couldn’t walk for a while. The bed made it easier to get him in and out of bed and the quality was really great. the green mattress it comes with is a little stiff but we bought an extra air mattress to go on top of it and it was comfy enough to sleep on. Really grateful for this product it made my families life easier.

I have not transferred my mom to the Real Relax 5 yet, but was able to get it unpacked and set up and checked to make sure everything was working. Everything looks great. For those that are looking for more information on setup, specifically the wheels, I wanted to let you know that it was pretty easy. The bed box comes showing which side up but when you open it is upside down to allow you to install the wheels. The mattress is then on the very bottom which will provide a cushion to flip the bed on its side and then right side up. Ta da! Add the head and foot boards and all is good! I am lucky because my husband could handle the weight of the bed by himself. A very big help was paying the extra $20 to have Amazon delivery bring it in the house and room to be used! You will need a wrench for the wheels.
