Practice Makes Perfect German Sentence Builder

If I could only keep one book for learning German, it would be this one. My learning stagnated around A2/B1 for a little bit, as I could simply not get a clear sense of how to correctly make a sentence. A lot of German learning products like to make the big tables of the different forms, declensions, and sentence structures, but none of that have I found practical. This book has really dialed in what could be an optimal sequence of learning. I wouldn't prescribe this book for A1-A2 learning, but once you have a solid foundation of vocabulary, and at least an overall awareness of what the grammatical parts of German are, get going on this book ASAP.

This book is fantastic but absolutely not for beginners. Also, it is a practice workbook, not a textbook, and does not have in-depth explanations of grammar concepts. I am using this book as practice before I begin intermediate German classes.

I bought this thinking it was a basic learning book but when I opened it was very challenging. On the back of the book it has an icon indicating that it is an "intermediate" book rather than a "beginner" book.

Best German study book I have bought to date. Specific to helping you with German structure at least. I'm at a somewhat intermediate-level so if you're a beginner this would not be good for you. I study this book and I also watch a YouTube channel called easy German. Easy German it's basically hosted by Germans and they ask people various questions in the streets of Berlin so you get to hear how the language is actually spoken in real time. They always have subtitles on it in English and German. So every time I work on this book I understand better how to actually use the colloquial speech that is used in the everyday speech of Germans from those YouTube videos. Good Luck learnings awesome language!

Practice Make Perfect books are so good for reviewing or learning languages.

This is great for German practice. Very happy with my purchase.

Meant for college level.or extremely advanced German learner.

Just not as good as his other ones. Too many, create your own response questions that are not easy to check.

If you're at an A2 level or above, this is an excellent book to get. It's clear and gives you lots of practical practice writing around grammatical topics. Highly recommend.
