The build quality has been exceptional. The accuracy is pretty spot on once you get the hang of it. Its best one of the best items ive ever purchased. Very worth the cost. The software it comes with is very user friendly and set up takes less than 10 mins before youre burning away! 5 months later and the laser still works great, minus the air assist fan. The bearings are shot and the laser doesnt push air properly which causes issues cutting through wood. Very hard to find replacement parts. Contacted the company and they are 2 months behind on replacement lasers. Would be nice if they reached out for replacement fans.

Works great right out of the box. Setup was quick, and the safety enclosure makes it easy to use at home. Engravings on wood and leather are clean and consistent, and it’s quiet and compact. Perfect for small gifts and labels. Exactly what I needed

Very nice product! I hope to buy another soon! Good price for the quality you get, the customer service is top notch, and so far it's been a very solid and easy going learning curve for me (unlike cnc machining). Plenty of programs work for this, plenty of material can be engraved (wood to stone, metal finishes, or metal sprays for steel/glass). It's paid itself off within the first 6 months including the price of lightburn from random offhand projects, gifts, and customizations. Good fun for tinkerers. Good: Lightweight, good customer service, little space taken, cheap, has accessories, just works. Bad: small engrave space (100mm), accessories are expensive, cant engrave metals well.

when it works right it is a good laser. But.... Exhaust fan is too small, even with an external smoke extractor. I just removed the fan to allow the external extractor to do the job. Looses center too often. At times it does not recognize the door switch, even when shorted out. Because of the afore mentioned fan you will need to pull the laser out to clean very often or the lens will cloud over. It's sad because when it does work it's a very fast and precise little laser. it would be a great alternative to a Laserpecker or Xtool which to me are just way overpriced. (yes, I have an LP 1 and a LP 2)... Update.. Support for this item is a joke. I have sent them videos of the issue. their response was to tell me how to focus the laser. 1) I know how to fucus a laser 2) in what way does this relate to the laser module loosing center or the main board not seeing the door switch. Sent videos to their service department 3 times. Offered me $50 credit on a purifier. Why would I buy a purifier if the laser it is for does not work right?????? If I reflash the firmware the problems will go away for awhile, then come back. Sounds like a main board issue to me, but what do I know, I have only spent the last 45 years as an electrician and automation tech. Sain Smart assigned me a new service rep. They have sent me a New machine. Hopefully I won't have the same issue with centering and the guard switch. Prior to this issues I had, it was a little work horse. Remember. 1) have a good smoke extractor 2) clean it out regularly (like once a day for pine and cedar) Thank you Bettina from the Sain Smart Service team. I have a Genmitsu CNC router hopefully this laser proves to be a sturdy.

I’m really impressed with this laser engraver! It’s compact, easy to set up, and works great for small wood and leather projects. The engraving quality is clear and precise — perfect for personalized gifts or small crafts. Totally worth it for creative home use!

Unfortunately, I had to send this product back due to it's lack of power and size. This machine is made for the person that wants to throw away $300 for a novelty. The software is lacking and the connection with Lightburn is very limited. The suggested software, Cut Lab X is somewhat of a joke, limited to what you put in front of it without any editing or placement under the laser head. It is a full 10 watts of power and will etch into metals, however. For the amateur hobbyist, it would be great!

The device had many options to use and that was the confusing part and that is actually its strength once I’ve tried using all of them. It can be connected through WiFi on the iPhone or iPad using the Genmitsu app. On the PC, it can be used as a COMx port. Once it is set up, then you’ll have to learn how to place and secure the piece as well as to adjust the height from the laser to the surface of what you want to engrave. It took time for me to get response back to my iPhone not connecting while the iPad was ok - it was the setting on the app to connect to the network - thanks to the support person!

As a complete beginner, I was pleasantly surprised how easy this device is to use (with a little ChatGPT magic 😊). After a few initial tries, everything became smoother and better. Great choice for beginners!

Tanto la grabadora como el equipo que hay detrás de ésta marca se merecen las 5 estrellas. La grabadora funciona a las 1000 maravillas , compatible con la mayoria de los software del mercado. Cuando tuve un problemilla el equipo técnico se desvivió en solucionarlo, tanto es así que me repusieron la grabadora al ver que el problema era de la máquina. Teniendo un respaldo así volveré a pensar en sainsmart para la próxima vez.

MY HUSBAND HAS MADE SO MANY THINGS USING THIS MACHINE. HE HAS REALLY ENJOYED USING IT.
