I had had my cataract operation and been given a similar guard at the hospital, however this guard came with an elasticated band which I could put around my head and held the guard place, whilst I did use tape to make sure it didn’t move, it was a vastly superior product. I would recommend without hesitation.

Just what I needed after cataract surgery

Bought these for protection post cataract surgery. In theory theyre great, but in practice I found it needed to be very tight to maintain position over the eye, and, if you have long eye lashes its very uncomfortable. Went back to the plastic shield and tape supplied by the hospital and it was a lot more comfortable. Could be used for fancy dress I guess if you want to be a pirate!
