I don't know how comfortable they are to wear, I bought them as a Christmas present for my partner. He supports Chelsea, but everyone else he knows supports Liverpool. I told him all he was getting was a pair of socks, hid a tour ticket to Stamford Bridge within the wrapping, and sat back to enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions. He regifted them to his brothers on Christmas day, one sock each, so I really don't have much else to say but they LOOKED cosy and comfortable, had a good stretch, and would definitely have ended up on his feet were they blue not red.
