I can't get up in the morning. The daylight alarm feature helped, especially when I had an inside cabin on a cruise. Love this product! I also use it for night lighting.

I love the variety of options on this alarm clock. I wanted a sunrise alarm because I hoped to have a more natural wake up. Turns out, I happily sleep through the light. That's okay because this alarm also has gentle sound options too! I love that the other wake up options prevented me from wasting my money on this alarm. Very pleased with this product!

For being a name brand product, this Sharp sunrise alarm clock is a bit of a disappointment. While I like the idea behind it, it feels cheap and very plastic-y. I like the clock because it is easy to read and is dimmable. I like that the colored lights are also dimmable and think the rainbow mix color option is pretty cool. But even on the dimmest setting, the light is still pretty bright. This clock only has 5 sound settings which is way less than it should have for the price. Also, even on the lowest volume setting, the sound is too loud for me if it is on my bedside table beside my head. The sunrise and sunset settings are a nice feature. The alarm feels like an afterthought. One would think that this clock that is supposed to gently rouse you from your sleep with a sunrise would have an alarm where you could wake up to one of the 5 sound settings like rain or thunder but instead your only option is a strident beep. On a positive note, I like that this has a battery backup option in case the power goes out.Overall, while sufficient, I think I was expecting more from a brand like Sharp. This feels like it is overpriced for the quality and features of the product.

A decent alarm clock with light added to the alarm sound. Unfortunately, this alarm clock does not have a radio, and the light is not bright enough to wake you up so you will also need to have one of the preset alarm sounds activated so that you do wake up when needed. The product would be more useful if it was a sunrise clock radio combination.

This is a great clock and light/noise maker. No radio. But we don't have radio signals here in the mtns anyhow. No bluetooth or anything connecting.Just a clock, with white LED, which you can adjust brightness from bright to off. The light offers a variety of settings for mood or to go with the alarm. There are five noise settings, soothing music, rain, thunder, white noise (like a fan), and a lullaby. I wish we could match one of these noises to the alarm too, but we can't. The alarm is a beep, beep at increasing tempo.The LED light on top has 8 settings: warm white, yell, red, green, blue, blue and magenta mix (changes colors), green and yellow mix, and rainbow mix.Not complicated, but really useful for what it is. If I wanted music or such, I have my phone, so wanted this specifically for just the lighting and sunrise effect. Does that well and is small enough to serve as a travel clock, which I really appreciate since I do travel a lot and hate the hotel clock/alarms. Takes 3 AAA batteries if you want to save the time and alarm as backup (power goes out but if it goes back on, your alarm will go on as usual). But it doesn't work on just batteries for the overall functioning.Nice product and fills a useful niche.

This is a nice looking alarm clock with many useful features. There is soothing sounds, different light and color settings, etc. everything is great about this alarm clock, but it may be hard for kids to learn how to set. With all the settings, it took me a while and to learn how to set everything up.

Updating to add on 1/31/25:The audio alarm doesn't work or is at least inconsistent. My kid said it didn't beep. I tested it repeatedly during the daytime by setting alarms with and without the sunrise function and at various intervals, and it worked fine - so I put it back in their room and said they were sleeping through it. After some more insistence that it didn't beep, I put it by my bedside and, sure enough, I woke up (to my own phone alarm) to see the sunrise function working but when the alarm time came and went, it made no sound. We triple checked the volume level, AM vs PM, etc. An alarm clock's primary purpose is to wake you up in the way you set it, and this cannot be relied on for that purpose.------Original review:We've got a heavy sleeping tween and nothing works except physically opening the (mostly-blackout) blinds to let the sun in. I was hoping this would provide an alternative to me running in and doing that each morning, and it works!The instructions are simple enough and setup took about 5 minutes for all features. The alarm must be set in order for the sunrise to work, but you CAN set the alarm to zero volume so it doesn't need to beep.The sleep/white noise sounds are okay but nothing special. Still, I consider it a nice bonus that we have the option of white noise on here instead of on a separate device.Notes: The battery is for backup only. It does hold the time, but the time doesn't display until you plug it back in.The back of the "sunrise" doesn't light up. That's completely fine for our purposes, but hard to tell from the images provided.You can change the color of the light when it's just in "light" mode, but as far as I can tell you can only choose the natural sunrise color for "sunrise" mode. Tween was a little bummed because the rainbow feature (color #8) would've been preferred to wake up to, but at least it's available as a daytime mood light.
