GREAT PRODUCT! Works well; excellent value for the $
Works great! Super easy to set up & use. Makes no noise whatsoever. Excellent price. Many years ago I tried another brand. Directions were confusing, didn’t do what I needed it to. I bought this as a replacement for the selfsame model I had of this model for just shy of 12 years. I’m expecting this one this one will last 12 years just like my first one did. The only thing that went bad on my previous one was that the little plastic “bellows or diaphragm looking thing that you press to start it finally cracked & I couldn’t use it anymore. Anyway, I figure 12 years of daily excellent use for what That does for me?? Come on! EASILY WORTH A12 on a scale of 1-5. Go buy you one now! ONE QUICK TIP: on top of the filter that you change every 2 months.: BE SURE TO MARK THE DAY YOU NEED TO REPLACE IT BY, not the day you put the new one in. I tend toward the forgetful side, & that made a difference in performance & those filter are inexpensive anyway. Go BUY ONE NOW!

A Must for Long Lasting Hearing Aides
I had my first for 13 years. It made my hearing aides last 10 years and I have used it three years with my new hearing aids. I have sticky wax that clogs the devices and moisture will also accumulate because I do a lot of outside work. This has been the only thing that successfully kept my devices working. I’m

I'm All Ears!
I read about the Dry and Store Dehumidifier on a forum for the hearing impaired. It was highly rec. by everyone who posted about it. Living in SC Lowcountry and now Naples, FL, humidity is a big problem for me. I garden, ride my bike and exercise at the gym. You can say I sweat a lot. Using the Dry and Store Dehumidifier at night and sometimes after a really sweaty activity has kept my hearing aid from collecting moisture. I especially like the little light that heats up and kills bacteria. If you ever have smelled your hearing aid you know that it must be full of all kinds of bacteria - yuck, they smell like sweaty goalie gloves. I used to use one of those small canisters with the special tube of charcoal to dry out my hearing aid. But I still had problems with moisture and had to make trips to the hearing aid specialist to get my aid repaired. The Global II is a great size for home and travel use. Fits easily on a night table and really doesn't take up a lot of room in a suitcase. When I store my aid in it at night I don't take out the battery which I know some people rec. It doesn't seem to affect the battery life. I have a Phonic aid which in order to turn it off you have to open the battery door. So that's how I store it. Another use I found for it was when I dropped my cell phone in a clean toilet. I whisked it out, dried it off, and put it in the humidifier. Thought I would have to buy a new cell phone. But it dried the phone out within 24 hours. There are so few products out there for us hard of hearing peeps that actually are worth the money they cost. So I would highly rec. buying the Dry and Store Global II Dehumidifier, especially since most good hearing aids cost as much as your monthly mortgage payment.

Fixed My Hearing Aid Problems!
I had 5 year old Phonak Marvel hearing aids that would start to crackle and kill the battery with any moisture, even very light sweat. I tried the standard desiccant jars made specifically for hearing aids, but no improvement. After only a few nights of using the Global II, all my hearing aid problems disappeared! I have used the dryer frequently for about eight months and it has saved me from having to get new hearing aids. Highly Recommended!

Good choice
Does a better job of drying Hearing Aids vs decants. Decant bricks are pricy vs putting decants from a jar in the oven to dry. D & S is a little large for travel so when traveling I take a jar of decants with me. For daily use, Dry & Store is my go to product to protect my hearing aids. The UV light sanitizes is a bonus. Wax buildup is easier to remove because moisture has been removed from the wax. At the cost of Hearing Aids I want to protect them and prolong their life. Dry & Store meets my needs. If you live in the Southwest desert you probably don't need Dry & Store. If you live in the hot humid South...get D & S since it will protect your investment.

Best out there, but could be better.
Having used several different types of hearing aid dehumidifiers, I have found the Global I and now the (new and Improved(?)) Global II to be the best available. Could it be better? Yes. The Global I was a good unit. Disinfecting the devices with an UV bulb. It was easy to open and operate. You can leave the batteries in the devices. The draw back was the noisy fan and the inferior power switch. In seven years I had two units both failed due to the switch not working. I purchased a quieter fan from Newegg.com. Transferring it from the first to the second Global I and, if the Global II is the same size, it will go into it. The drawback on the new Global II is the sleek design. I have found the exterior to be too smooth. There is no purchase area to hold to open the unit. The Tab is small and not easy to open without some sort of gripping the sides which as mentioned are slick. Would I buy another? Yes, I would. I have altered the sides with felt and will replace the fan with a lower decibel fan.

Works well not magical - my second one
I just purchased a new one because the switch went out on the original after not sure; 5 years? I think longer. You can use it without the drying bricks but they do seem to work. The timer runs for 8 hours? I’m not sure. I put the aids in with doors open. I just drop the batteries in too even though I heard it will shorten the battery life. My batteries usually have moisture on them too so I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I haven’t noticed an issue. The bulb can be a little fragile leaving it in on trips. I skipped replacing it but for $7 at a local audiologist started using it again. I have full ear molds and I leave everything attached. Just open the doors to expose inside of the HA. After a work out I usually drop them in for my shower time. I sometimes hit them with a hair dryer before putting them in. That definitely helps because sweat was causing them to cut out. Afterward, crystal again! Well as crystal as any HA brings to your hearing. I used the open hot plate for a long time; I think this is a good upgrade from that. Whatever you want to keep them dry and not cause itching.

Wish I got this earlier
I had a problem perspiring and hearing aids shutting down. With this it it brings it back to life. Also like the uv light for sterilization
