My office/sim racing room is small and I prefer to take breaks and knock out some pull ups and muscle ups to grease the groove. My ceiling is 10 ft and door is 8 ft tall. I weigh 170 lbs and this easily handles my weight even with a weight vest on. I needed a pull bar that could double for hanging my gymnast rings. I appreciated purife brand offered a white pull up bar to blend in more to the wall and it also perfect fit around the trim of the door, so I can do chest to bar pull ups, chin ups without hitting my head on the ceiling. The one improvement I would like to see is to have the bar extend from the wall another 6 inches at least so I could also do strict bar muscle ups without having to lower the mounting position so low, I can no longer dead hang. I know there are other brands that offer a solution to this problem, but not in white. Overall, this is a great product for the cost. It does not feel flimsy at all. As for the texture of the bar, it is not 100% smooth but has some texture (not knurled at all). I would say it could be improved with further texture for grip (Rogue’s pull up bar has one of the best balance of not too smooth but not heavy knurling). I may add some grip tape which I tend to do anyway.

Very sturdy, easy to install with the right tools. Just make sure you have an impact driver and at least a 4" (10cm) bit extender if driving the screws into wood because a drill is not powerful enough, even with predrilled holes, and the bar gets in the way without a bit extender. Use clamps to hold it in place while installing the first two holes. With these tools it can be installed in a few minutes. The impact makes the base flush with the wall/frame so there is no movement at all under load.

I looked at several bars and ordered two to see which felt higher quality. I kept this one. Plus, it was wider, which is a pro. Easy to level and install. Used included hardware. I'm about 150lbs, and this thing is solid. Texture is great - not knurled but not too slippery either.
