Worked well for casting. Water needed to be added to reach desired consistency.

Easy to use and high quality. First time jewelry maker & first time sand use and its pretty easy to use. Will buy again if needed. Great fine quality casting sand.

No matter what I did I could not get a nice casting. I tried dampening it and it just blew steam out. Tried dampening then drying it in oven and it held a shape but when I poured in molten silver I just got a crude mess only approximating the shape.

There is no instructions on how to mix this its just a small bucket of fine sand..

I noticed a complaint in the reviews that no instructions or bucket (container was provided). First, if you are looking for casting sand, you’ll know what it is and how to use it. Otherwise, why are you purchasing it? Secondly, the sand I received came in a heavy-duty bucket with a strong handle. The sand is of excellent quality Recommend.

Sand was very fine mesh and works well for casting brass into. It’s good to be diligent when measuring out water to sand ratio if using it for casting. Makes for good quality pours, though its said to be reusable, and it is, but it burns pretty easily and has to be sifted through. I ran through mine relatively fast with big pours.
