Solid Tape Gun That Makes Packing Faster
I picked up this Uline H-150 tape dispenser to use with 2 inch packing tape and it has made boxing orders and moving gear a lot easier. The metal frame feels sturdy and has a good weight to it, so it does not feel flimsy when you are taping up heavier boxes. Loading a new roll from the side is straightforward once you do it a couple of times, and the tape feeds smoothly without constantly jamming or sticking to the wrong spot. The handle is comfortable enough to use for a long packing session and the tension control helps keep the tape from spinning out too fast. The cutting blade is sharp and gives a clean cut so I am not fighting with ragged edges. If you do a lot of shipping, moving, or storage and are tired of wrestling with cheap dispensers, this is a very reliable tool to have on hand.

Hands down the best designed tape gun we've ever tried.
We've owned a number of tape guns over the years, not because they break or wear out, rather, it's usually due to the added convenience of not having to swap out different grade tape or track down the gun when packaging in different areas of the shop or house. This Uline model was purchased as a replacement to a brand new Scotch gun - their new ridiculous, child-proof design that appears to be making people turn away from Scotch products left and right, as it simply is THE worst tape gun design ever that we've come across. But, that's the downside of buying in a physical store these days, the lack of consumer reviews to warn you how bad something is. Greatfully, this U-line model is NOTHING like the one we purchased by Scotch. In fact, I was surprised just how much better this gun was, compared to the others we've relied on for years. So much so, I'm strongly tempted to replace them all with this model. Instead of it being relegated to the secondary packaging location it was purchased for, it's become our primary gun, with our old reliable (not sure the brand) being relegated to the basement and the new Scotch model, being relegated to the garbage, as I wouldn't feel right pawning off the Scotch model 3850 on anyone. We weren't looking for the best, most sturdily built tape gun on the market, but, as we use it almost daily, we didn't want to gamble on the very cheapest either. At ten bucks this was competitively priced and we knew that Uline was a good name - usually a much more pricey one. The Uline is lightweight, yet sturdy. It feels solid, yet surprisingly more comfortable to use than any of the tape guns we've used before. It's as if someone who actually uses the product, helped design this one; they seem to have done away with all the kinks. Even the super lightweight tape that wrinkles and tears very easily works without aggravation in this gun. Something we couldn't see in the picture was that the reverse side of the grip is actually vented, presumably to allow your palm to breath when taping for a long time. We thought that was a nice touch that might have bore some explanation in the product specs. I haven't dropped it yet - nor do I plan too - but if it's as robust as it appears and as others say, I doubt we'll bother shopping around the next time we need a new tape gun, and just go straight for this model again, as we couldn't be more satisfied. As with any product being sold via amazon's marketplace, not from amazon itself, it bears mentioning which store we actually got ours from, as different vendors all too often offer differently manufactured product, even under the same listing, especially when it comes to packaging supplies or other non-branded items. The order was fulfilled by Prime, but sold by YoKool. Unlike the unit currently pictured on amazon, the gun we received was braned with Uline's logo, phone, and web address printed in blue on the clear plastic guard, indicating it's authenticity. The gun didn't come with any literature as to how to use it, which is typical of these products, but they're not that complicated to figure out how to load, and there're plenty of videos online showing proper boxing technique. It did come in a triangular Uline branded disposable cardboard box, which amazon then re-boxed themselves for safer delivery.

The Honda Civic of tape guns
So I just bought our third (Jan '26). I must like it right? Well mostly. The other two we've had since 1997. But I had to find and replace many screws along the way. And does the tape some time come off the holder? Yes - but is they bc of the specs of the cheapa$$ tape I buy sometimes, or the dispenser itself? Hard to say. I read about other brands - this one still rated very high. Let's face it, anything with moving parts that gets thrown around a lot will fail. These tape guns are just the devil I know.

Nice tape gun. Worth the money if you use regularly
Nice sturdy tape gun. Replaced my old tape gun of 15 years in service and it's like driving a new car! Lol. Seriously. Had no idea how dull my old gun has gotten. This one cuts through like butter. We shall see how it holds up.

Actually Does What You Want It To Do
Well, somebody finally figured out that the purpose of a tape gun was to tape up a box, and not have to wrestle around with the thing in trying to get it to cut the tape. And no matter what kind of tape you are using, whether it be just regular package sealing tape, or perhaps a fiberglass strand reinforced tape, and most especially duct tape, you expect a tape dispenser to actually cut the tape, and not just puncture it with giant, fierce-looking "sharks teeth," which only guarantee that you will either ruin whatever you are trying to tape, or dislocate your shoulder trying to get it to cut. The secret is all in the cutting blade. This fine-toothed sawblade type cutting edge is sharp - as you expect any cutting edge to be - but more importantly, results in a quick, clean cut, smooth as silk, with minimum hassle. Unfortunately, most of the other tape guns out there haven't gotten the message. *** I just received today a second one of these, specifically to use for duct tape, just as I do for the first one I bought. I have found that this is the best, and almost the only, tape gun that will cut duct tape, while the ones with the huge shark teeth will drive you crazy, just trying to get them to cut anything tougher than regular package sealing tape. And even then they don't actually cut the tape, but only perforate it, so that you still have to yank the tape apart - which sometimes works, and other times resists your firm efforts to finish the job, resulting in making you so violently angry that you almost jerk your arm out of the shoulder socket, while turning the air blue with swear words. Also, I just discovered that on this dispenser the bottom "keeper" that holds the tape against the roller is spring-loaded, and will fold down, completely out of the way, so that you can load a new roll of tape easily. Then, you just fold it back up, and it keeps the tape in place, against the roller, ready to use on the next box. ***3/10/19*** I just had occasion to use it again - I'm speaking of the one loaded with duct tape - and I can't get over what a delight it is to use, to so easily cut the tape when I want it cut, just as you should be able to do with any tape gun. But I know that that isn't necessarily true, with many other tape guns: You can easily work up a serious mad-on, with some of those tape guns, with the ferocious-looking "shark's teeth," which are a total joke, since they do not cut the tape, but only serve to dislocate your shoulder when you try to jerk the tape to try to cut it, and it just makes you look like a fool, and you end up with a string of tape rolled up on itself, and you can almost hear it snickering at you.

Hasta el momento me funciona muy bien no le he visto fallos, no es tan difícil recargarlo y la cuchilla es filosa, sólo trato de no tirarla porque leí que se puede romper y ya no sirve
