Great sounding pickups (Classic Alnico IV)
I swapped out the Wilkinson pickups in my Vintage VS6 “SG” copy for the Classic Alnico 4 pickups and the difference is fantastic. I thought the Wilkinsons were ok but the neck pickup was a bit muddy. Now the tone is much brighter and cleaner. Very satisfied and the price of £70 for the pair was great.

Impressed
Fitted these to my Ibanez archtop and I’m impressed with the sound. They are sweet sounding and respond well to the tone control. Slightly hot and good with it.

A sound investment
I swapped out the stock pickups from my Epiphone Sheraton II for a set of Tonerider Alnico IV's. My guitar has always looked great, felt great and played great. It's just that the sound has been dull and underpowered. I play mainly blues, some rock and a little jazz. I like my sound to be clean and bright with the option to go a little bit dirty when the mood takes. The gold-covered Toneriders are a perfect match for my guitar and it looks even better with the shiny new pickups. The sound is amazing! I opted for the Toneriders after reading the specs and reviews. I took a chance that I would get the improved sound that I wanted without paying twice the price for a better known name. To say that I wasn't disappointed is an understatement. The neck pickup is warm and bright, the bridge pickup is strong and sharp with depth. The clean sounds are classy, with options to add a hint of rough or go for the full, raw hit. The Tonerider pickups have changed a good guitar that I like to a great guitar that I absolutely adore. The practical value of my guitar is around £500. If you closed your eyes and played it, you would now be thinking double that and plus some. A sound investment!

Good value, good product.
Better than stock epiphone pickups that came as OEM on a les paul, but not as good as Gibson burstbuckers. Still good for the money paid and good for upgrading a cheaper guitar. They respond well to different volume settings and produce a good range of usable tones. Can be wired in for coil tapped sounds. Recommended.

Humbuckers of great quality and value
These Alnico IV pickups are tremendous value. I put them into a Zemaitis metal front clone and they are as good as Gibson 57 PAFs I have in other guitars. Cannot recommend highly enough for your double humbucker guitar project .👍

Classic Rock Pickups
I decided after reading reviews on many sites to purchase this set to replace the Seymour Duncan's on my Epiphone Les Paul which I have never been really happy about. I had wanted a set of Bare Knuckle pickups as these sounded great on their website and produced exactly the tone that I wanted, but sadly they are out of my price range. The old saying 'you get what you pay for' is so true and so I thought long and hard about buying this Tonerider set with the two costing less than one from Bare Knuckle. However I have been pleasantly suprised, they are great. They produced a lovely warm tone which is very clear and I am very happy with them. They are far better than my Seymour Duncan's. If I could afford them I would opt for Bare Knuckle pickups, but if like me you cannot then these Tonerider AC4 pickups are the one to go for. For the price, they are fantastic.

Amazing Pickups
Bought a set of AC4s to put into a superstrat build after hearing some clips and have been really impressed with these pickups. I've fitted them into an experimental guitar that offers me 54(!!) pickup combinations as the four-core conductor allows all sorts of wiring possibilities. More usual installations will probably use the normal humbucker mode and either a split or out-of-phase alternative. For this purpose, these pickups more Han hold their own against the big names like Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio at twice the price. There's plenty of punch and girth in humbucker mode, and clarity and spank in single-coil mode. Tonerider are one of a number of British companies manufacturing great quality pickups here and abroad that match the big names on quality and beat them in price. More people should know and use these pickups.
