Extremely Clever Device
I fitted this to a Tanglewood 12 string which had a lifting bridge. A repair by a luthier would have cost more than the value of the guitar. It was straightforward to fit with no modifications. Yes it's expensive but it does the job brilliantly and rescued the instrument. And it comes from Roswell New Mexico, how cool is that?

Valuable for its result, but pricey for what it actually is.
I was terrified to play my electric acoustic out of fear that the bridge would just snap right off, plus the action was ridiculously high from the bowing. Installing this now gives me the confidence to play it again because the bridge is now screwed down and held tight. The bowing has also decreased dramatically and the action, while still a bit high for my liking (and I can't sand the saddle down any more) it's at least playable. But I'm giving 4 stars because for £38 the build quality of the wood is quite poor and the instructions are a bit lackluster. I'd be fine with that if this thing was £10 or so and that probably would be better than making it look nice when it only goes inside the guitar to not be seen. The brass pins look and feel nice. Pay attention to the size of the holes as they match the string sizes, I had to undo them all because I didn't realise this. I also don't know why one of them is a lot shorter than the rest. I first thought this was the one which screws into the block, but it isn't, it's the smallest string one. Also you need to have a saw on hand because you need to cut the wood rod to the correct length for your guitar.

Excellent solution for soundboard bulge—highly recommended
I installed the JLD Bridge Doctor Brass Pin Mount on a vintage acoustic guitar with a noticeable belly bulge behind the bridge. The results were impressive. Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and the brass pin mount feels solid and secure. After a few days, I noticed a visible improvement in the top's flatness and a more balanced tone overall. Sustain and clarity also improved, especially on the lower strings. It’s a discreet, non-invasive fix that doesn’t alter the guitar’s appearance or tone negatively.

Perfect fix for my 12-string
I was hopeful this would improve the bellying issue on a 30 year old Aria Pro 12-string which previously suffered a detached bridge which had been reattached and pinned. Installation was straightforward, the body is now perfectly smooth and the problem is solved. You will need an imperial Allen key/hex wrench to make the final adjustment.

Superb device.
I used the brass-pin version to bring a Yamaha APX 12-string back from the dead. The guitar has a really small sound hole and a shallow body, so it took some fiddling, but it did the job superbly. Almost tempted to buy another wreck and do it again.

Guitar fixed, by this item
This item does the job it is designed to do, but I think it lacked a bit in quality and is somewhat overpriced for what it is.

Lifesaver!
Revived a 40 year old acoustic guitar which I loved but which had bowed badly. Sound and playability now much better-known feels almost new again. Easy to install, with a bit of patience, and needed some adjustments as it settled in. Overall, great product

Brass pin bridge doctor
Just fitted the bridge doctor on a nearly fifty year old EKO 12 string, was a bit fiddly to fit only due to the size of my hands! Once fitted and with the encouragement of a little steam the bridge is almost completely flat, amazing!
