Dewalt! Superior quality
This is my first cordless drill, and I’m glad I chose this DEWALT set instead of going with a cheaper option. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, including two batteries, a charger, and a durable contractor bag for storage and transport. The drill itself feels well built and high quality. It has a compact, lightweight design that makes it easy to handle, especially when working in tighter spaces. The ergonomic grip is comfortable, and the two-speed transmission provides plenty of control for different tasks. The 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck holds bits securely, which adds to the overall confidence when using it. I used it to mount an Alexa holder shelf, and it worked perfectly for the job. The power was more than enough for light drilling and fastening tasks around the house. Overall, this is a solid drill that’s great for home repairs and DIY projects. If you’re looking for a reliable first cordless drill, this is a great choice.

Fantastic Drill/Driver with Plenty of Power and Great Battery Life
This is pound for pound the best drill/driver I have ever owned. It is hard to go wrong with Dewalt tools and this is no exception. There are so many things I like about it I am going to make a pros/cons list. PROS: - Lightweight. It is fairly small and much lighter than all of my previous cordless drills I have ever owned. The Li-ION battery is much lighter than my previous Ni-CAD batteries. - Even though it is lightweight, it has A LOT of torque and power. - The battery life is great. This set also comes with two batteries making it easy to switch out and essentially ensuring you always have battery to finish the job. The batteries also seem to hold a charge very well when they are just sitting around, not in use, which is nice that when I need the drill, I don't have to wait an hour for a battery to charge. I just plug it in and off we go. See note below about handling of batteries. - Along the same lines, charging time is low. Around an hour for a full charge in my case. - The carrying case wasn't a selling point for me, but it is a nice way to store the set. - This is the first cordless drill I have used that has a light and I didn't realize what I was missing out on until now. I also like that it will stay on about 10 seconds after I release the button, which is especially nice when I want to see if I set the screw correctly in low light. - The 20V is a nice addition and adds more oomph than I expected as I have always used 18V batteries in the past. - Cost. I only paid $99 for it when it was on sale, which is quite a deal ($30 off of Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowes current price). - Build. It feels solid and strong, not made up of cheap plastic parts. Cons: - Definitely not a contractor level drill, which is no bother to me because I only use it for around the house projects. Not necessarily a con, but should be noted. - The chuck. How it works is that you insert the bit, turn the chuck until it clicks and the bit is supposed to be locked in. For whatever reason (and maybe I got a lemon), my chuck doesn't seem to hold bits very well. They often come loose when I am backing them out. I have tried backing out in both "forward" and "reverse" and had the same results either way. There is no way to tighten the chuck any tighter because it just clicks, telling you the bit is "locked-in." This could be user error, but I don't think so. It is also made of plastic, one area they probably cut corners to save on cost. Side note: As soon as your battery starts to die, do not try to stretch it out. Running the battery down to nothing diminishes the life of the battery. Your batteries should also be stored near room temperature but never below 60 degrees F or above 80 degrees F, especially when charging. While buying new batteries is possible, why do that when you can just take good care of the ones you have? Especially when they are so expensive. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this drill. It is a definite upgrade and if you can wait to snag it at the $99 price tag, it is a definite must for any home DIY'er.

Nice product.
Love this too. It drills thru mostly anything, Just used it to put molleys into a concrete outer wall and had no problem at all. Was really impressed. It is not really heavy at all. This is a really nice drill. I would def recommend.

Powerful with Long-Lasting Battery Packs
I bought this drill after getting a bit stuck in a wall using my old drill, which only had 7 volts, and deciding I needed a more powerful one. I also like the idea of having a second battery pack because my old drill had its battery inside, with no light to indicate when it was finished charging. This drill did completely solve the problem of the bits getting stuck, and each battery pack lasted so long, I actually didn't need to switch it out even while installing hardware for five sets of blinds and hinges for two doors (one inside, one outside). Drill Bits are not included, in case you're wondering, but I was able to purchase a set of bits from the same brand at my local Home Improvement store for a reasonable price. The light on the drill comes on automatically when you start drilling, whether or not it's dark, and it stays on for a little while afterwards. I couldn't find a way to disable it, but it don't suppose it hurts anything. Also, because there are two red lights side by side on the charger, I charged a battery pack longer than necessary, expecting both lights to turn on when charging finished. The actual indicator is that the one blinking light will stay on steadily, and both lights will only turn on if there is some delay in the charging process. This is indicated on the front of the charger, so it was just a failure of observation on my part. I am very happy to have upgraded to this drill. I've made a lot of trips to the home improvement store this year, so I've observed that the brand is reputable, and the quality and performance whle in my hands has supported that impression.

Great drill, great quality, charger and battery are a nice bonus
I have owned a drill like this one for about 8 or 9 years now and it was used and abused almost on a daily basis. After all those years the old drill started minor signs of wear, the chuck started slipping and the brushes are smoking a bit, so I decided to get this similar drill (it might even still be identical to my old one) as a replacement. So far, so good and I hope I will get just as much use out of this one as I got from my old one. Getting a set with charger and battery was a bonus at the price I paid.

After an unsatisfactory experience with a black & orange drill that was underpowered and felt like a toy, I decided to spring for one of these Dewalt numbers in the hopes that it would do a better job. I'm delighted to report that it is easily powered enough to do my projects: making some bookshelves, putting a gate on the porch etc. It feels really sturdy and like a 'real tool' without being annoyingly heavy. It is simple enough to use and I love that there are two batteries. We had to swap batteries around 3 hours into the gate project. Even the little bag feels like a good quality canvas workbag, not a crap cheap grocery bag which is what I was fearing. All in all, highly recommended. I may have to get my dad one after how impressed he was :D
