We used this string in conjunction with some new plastic wind catchers for our Japanese wind bells. The original string had deteriorated, and the paper long gone. We wanted something we didn't have to worry about for a few years after bumbling around with whatever we had at the house. One year later on five wind bells, two fully exposed to the elements, this string is holding up perfectly. I didn't break out the micrometer, but it fit through the hole I bought it for, so it's around .8mm thick as claimed. It's nice and flexible, not stiff at all so it is bending easily in the wind and allowing our chimes to make delightful sounds in the breeze. The only thing I was worried about, since the last nylon string I tried twisted up, was it getting tangled in the breeze, but that's not happened at all, I'm very impressed with the tangle resistance. Since this is supposed to be for jewelry making, I give it an absolute five stars for it's versatile application. Not only do I think this would be great for bracelets, necklaces, beading, whatever is in the title, but don't be afraid to give it a try in other applications aside from jewelry.

I use this string to make rosaries. You can also burn/melt it slightly with a lighter to seal the ends if that is what you wish to do. It's super strong, won't snap. Best string for its price.

A little bit thicker than I wanted however it worked perfectly fine with my seed beads.

Product is as described. I have used it to make beaded key chains and it works great! They are great for pony beads but many of my other beads work great too.
