Really wanted to upgrade for the wireless controllers, which work well. Overall the upgrade is good, though programming is easily misunderstood. I would recommend looking up both apps that can help you run races, they each have their benefits. Also, if you still have the curved lane changers, know that they will not work with this base, only the straight-way lane changers work.

Replaced my c7030 digital power base with the ArcPro. Just amazing! Easy to use and setup had cars running in minutes. Added the Scalextric Arc App to my iPad and took the digital racing experience to a new level. Everyone of my digital cars had no problem working with the Arc Pro. So much fun racing and showing off the app to everyone. Great buy.

My one year old smart phone could not connect to the base via Bluetooth. I spent several hours researching my issues on line. After not finding anything concerning my power supply question (why only one power supply in the upgrade kit) and no resolution to my Bluetooth issue, I attempted to contact Hornby customer service via email since they don't have anyone answering the phones. 2 weeks later and still waiting. As of now my main concern is with the level of customer service.

This was certainly a half baked idea. Customer support told me I had to snip all the crossover wires, effectivly destroying about $1,000 worth of track I have. I returned it and it was a nightmare even getting to the point where tech support said I had to cut up the wires on my tracks. If only they could make a remote control that was wireless that didn't require destroying track to do so...

Works perfectly, the best upgrade to my track I have made.

The Arc Pro upgrade is a real improvement over the C7042 Digital Advanced system. It is easier to use and the wireless controllers allow freedom to move around the track for a different vantage point. With a very large layout it's easy to appreciate wireless controllers. No problems setting up.

I see a lot of reviews here of people who are happy with there purchase and it leaves me confused. I have invested thousands of dollars into Scalextric products over the years and after switching my power base over to the ARC Pro power base I have had nothing but problems with my track. I believe that people who enjoy this product rather got lucky with theirs or did not spend enough time with it before writing there review of his product. I have three Bluetooth laptops, two tablets and seven cell phones in my house and only one item (an old cell phone) will link to this power base. I have checked the firmware version making sure it's up to date and it is the newest version. I put more time into reading about problems with item online than I care to admit. Contacting Scalextric is nothing more than a wast of time you will never get back. I project all my track data to a large flat screen over my track, now I'm looking at a 10 year old "smart" phone to see lap times and other race data. I have lost all respect for Scalextric as a Co. for not contacting me, not having a update to fix the problems and for continuing to take peoples money for years for this power base. I am currently switching all my scalextric items to Carrera. Sad that a Co. that has been around as long as they have has no support at all and produces such as this. They won't get anymore of my hard earned money.

Although the item is great, the description is incorrect. Rather than a UK transformer included in the box, it is a US transformer.

Hart drauf gewartet, mich riesig gefreut als sie endlich verfügbar war, aber nun sehr enttäuscht. Alleine das Auswählen des/der Auto/s wird zum Geduldsspiel. Da nur mit Handy oder Tablet nutzbar (winzige Bildschirme) kaum für Rennen mit Freunden praktikabel. Das 'Schnelle Rennen' braucht schon mal 10 Minuten (wenn die Autos gefunden wurden) bis es losgehen kann. Die APP ist ausserdem sehr instabil (ich hab'n Samsung mit Oktacore und 12Zoll) und reagiert entweder zäh, oder man landet dort wo man nicht hinwill. Damit rutscht Scalextric in den reinen Spielzeugmarkt ab. Mangelhafte Dokumentation, obwohl seit Monaten auf dem Markt so gut wie keine Infos im Netz zu finden. Ausschließlich mit der APP (trotz des USB Ports) zu benutzen. Keines der bekannten und guten Rennmanagement Programme funktioniert - es gibt auch keinerlei Infos oder Pläne der Entwickler wie z.B. PC Lab Counter, RSC64, auch ein Nacholger der SSDC ist nicht geplant (meiner Information nach). Nach ca 3 Stunden hab ich's aufgegeben. Alleine ein Pacecar zu 'programmieren' ist schon eine echte Aufgabe. Bei mehr als 3 oder 4 Autos stürzt die APP ab oder friert ein. 6 Autos geht gar nicht mehr. Der wirklich allereinzigste Vorteil: das Schalterschen mit dem man schnell zwischen Analog/Digital umschalten kann - aber das ist auch schon alles. Ein wirklich sehr enttäuschter Scalextric Fan der mehr als 40 Jahre der Marke treu war.

Se usa en modo análogo por los controles wireless le funciona el botón de freno a veces vibra en la App de arc pro funciona para carreras 🏁 por tiempo, contador de vueltas y arranque programado por la App, en digital no se ha probado la marca no vende los chips en Amazon seguramente actualizaremos la review en cuando nos migremos a digital, gracias Actualización, con un Android 10 ya no funciona la App al no reconocer el enlace Bluetooth. De lo demás funciona muy bien.

Il prodotto è belle ed elegante e funziona benissimo ma il software di supporto fa davvero ridere. Infatti sappiate che si può usare solo con smartphone o con ipad il programma non funziona sul PC e questa è una pecca davvero imperdonabile per una ditta come la SCALEXTRIC. MI sono dovuto adattare con la POwerbase c7042 che a differenza di questa permette software con il PC. L'unica nota positiva sono i controller wireless altrimenti sarebbe stato un pessimo acquisto.
