Agriculture Solutions Liberty Automatic Louver Window Opener - Lifts 55 Lbs

I paired this Liberty Automatic Louver Window Opener with an Exaco Trading G7014 Louvre Window for Bio-Star Pioneer Greenhouses into my home-built greenhouse (both purchased through Amazon). I didn't install it til December and in Kentucky 2013 it was already cold. We did have a couple warm days where I was able to see it operate; and this necessitated adjustments. Since my greenhouse was created by myself I had to create my own vent window, so much of my tweaking of the automatic opener was due to trying to get the window vent correctly framed in my greenhouse design. It wasn't until we had a couple "Polar Vortexes" weather patterns in our area that I got the opener to properly orchestrate the opening and closing of the vent blades in the window. Of course it was cold for so long that I didn't get to see the automatic opener in action until a rare "warmer" February day. It is now early April and I can see the opener\vent is working "as advertised". I can hear the springs adjusting the vents as I work outside in my back yard on some raised beds I am constructing. It's a good sound. So far this automatic window vent opener is doing great! I hope it continues to do so! EDIT: 6/2/2014 - Still working like a champ!

Comes completely disassembled with terrible instructions. Fins are cheap plastic.

I just installed this auto opener on a specific Pal Ram Snap & Go side louvre vent.Difficult to find one designed that will adapt without major modification. This unit is an easy one. All I needed to do was to drill out the rivets from the standard manual opener and install this opener. Simply screw in the new unit into existing hole, drill a new hole and mount. The next step, was to make a bracket to connect the new opener to the louvre unit.. Bending and forming the bracket takes a little time but is not difficult. First a 90 degree bend and then another 90 degree bent in the down position to line up with the new opener. with the proper new hole drilled in the bracket the installation is completed. Great duo to an auto roof vent opener. As the roof vent opens to expel warm air, the side vent also opens to let in cool make up air.

The directions leave a little to be desired. How exactly does it attach and can it be attached to a vent in the middle or not. Now seeminly restricted to a side manuevering vent slants. Hard to find at a price I can afford, would be cool to be told what window would be best with the product mentioned in said instructions. Am sure once I find the vent, it will work famously. Thank you for having it at a price I could afford.

This is a great little devise. The stroke is about 1" total which is perfect for opening louvers. I am good a welding and fabricating so it was easy for me to make a fixture to mount it. Its spring loaded closed, and the piston over powers the springs to open it. The piston creates a lot of force which is nice.

Easy to install. I had to drill out the rivet holding the handle. The mounting holes lined up with the new bracket so no drilling there. I did add an extra screw for added support. Works just fine.

It installed easy and works great. the toughest part of the job was removing the manual opener (it was riveted on) It is nice not to have to go out and open the louvers in the morning and then go back out and close them before the freeze set in overnight.

Can't find right windows to go with this!
