Review: Painting made easy! - The other one I had finally gave out; it is great for fast work, cutting painting time by at least 50%. Friends want to get one but no longer made; too bad, because the newer floor pump models just don't work well at all.

Thought I was buying new and it wasn't.
I've had at least 4 of these from Wagner over the years. I love them. I didn't understand, however, that they were sending a used product. I could have purchased a new one of this model on ebay for $55.

Disposable
This tool works fantastic for one job, and one job only. Decide you need to paint your living room and a hallway, prep everything and use it for the day, then throw it out. It is not worth your time to clean this item. Figure in how much it would cost you to hire the job done, and then realize that the money you saved can afford you the luxury of throwing this item away. It is not worth the headache to clean, and frankly, even if you do spend a half hour cleaning it, it might not work right for the next job. What will extend your work time is wrapping a wet towel around the roller. Sometimes you can get by for quite a few days using this method.

Ain't broke, don't fix it, just supply replacement parts
This is a really good design, and it has served me well over many years. The only thing I would strongly urge Wagner to do is continue making replacement parts, especially those tiny bits that could get lost down a drain when cleaning. The machine is simple to strip down and clean, however. The mechanism isn't too complicated, and as long as you keep the instruction manual, you'll be able to keep track of all the parts. The design does allow the user to take it apart and clean it out. It makes a painting job go much faster compared to a roller and tray. Even when the job requires multiple coats, this device is up to the task. A power roller, however, is best employed when you have to do one or more rooms. Otherwise the setup and breakdown seems ludicrous. It takes time to set up and time to clean up...more time than it takes to do the actual job. However, the job can be done well. Some tips...make sure you clean the pump mechanism before you start it up. Make sure the batteries work. When you start it up, look at the roller to see when paint is feeding. Also, don't be afraid to tweak the pump speed for the job. If paint is flowing too fast or too slow, you have that dial at your fingertips. As long as Wagner supports it with replacement parts, it's a solid product.

i did not really like the paint delivery to the roller itself
i did not really like the paint delivery to the roller itself.I had another Wagner power roller which was broke but used the roller from that one which i liked better. I must admit though the Wagner power roller is a life saver it was well worth the money.

Performs an excellent job!
People were not kidding when they said that the clean-up of this machine is cumbersome, however, it was worth the effort. I used this machine to paint a 20'x50' room at my kid's dance studio and I managed to do it with one coat and with less paint and in half the time than it took to paint the other rooms with a standard roller. The handle does get a bit heavy after a while so be prepared for that.
