A fantastic replica
This badge is brilliant, it looks great, the magnet is very strong, and it's great not to have a pin making holes in my clothes. It is a bit bigger and heavier than the other badges in the range.

Good quality but black ‘backing’ is part of the badge!
The black surroundings are attached to the front part of the badge. I managed to bend this off and file the sides down till smooth again but I’d prefer one with just the triangle badge in future!

I'm very happy with this purchase. The quality is excellent! It has a decent amount of heft due to it being larger than your typical Star Trek badge. The details are crisp. The enameling is very clean and well done. It also arrived in near pristine condition which is nice to see as there's usually a certain degree of scuffs and scratches straight out of the package. The clasp attaches to the badge with 2 neodymium magnets. They are decent strength and seems to hold through a hoodie so there should be no issue with thinner shirts or costumes. It probably will not hold through a thicker sweater though. I think they should have made the clasp half the size to reduce some of the overall weight. This isn't an issue for me however as it's going straight into a display case with the rest of my collection. The price is also very reasonable at 20 bucks. Highly recommend for any Trek fan or collector!
