Works as expected!
Used to remove static charge from plastic sheeting. Worked perfectly out of the box, all charge was removed within a few seconds (tested with styrofoam shavings). Great little unit especially for the price.

It actually works
I bought this for my work dealing with a project involving extremely static polymer films. This little gadget made the whole handling of polymer sheets so much easier. Just a quick blow on the surface and I was able to move the letter sized sheets without sticking to my desk or other surfaces.

Probably a great product
I purchased the ionizing fan to see if I could control static in processing styrofoam when shaving/shaping. It was unfair to expect it to be able eliminate the massive static. It couldn’t do it. But for normal work surfaces I expect it would do fine.

works well for small space
Works well in a small space to keep humidity from damaging artwork

Works fine in our print shop
We'd been having a static issue on the feed end of our slitter/cutter/creaser that wasw driving us nuts. Bought this ionizer with some hope but low expectations. Pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Knock on wood, we've had no static issues since mounting it in a position that would blow across the substrate on the feed end.

Ozone generator, doesn't work for static
Turned on, immediately smell ozone generation. Didn't do diddly for static. Buy a real Desco unit or something. I had hoped this might do the trick, but it wasn't able to eliminate anything. Don't waste your time. A+ to amazon for return policy though. Giant F for Failure on this manufacturer's part.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. This is a very well made Ionizing fan/blower, I was surprised by how strong it is. The cast metal case is very robust as is the mounting bracket. Heavy gauge mains cable is fitted along with a decent quality, fused, UK plug. The machine arrived well packaged and protected. I tested the noise output while the machine was running at max output and got a reading of 60-65db @ 36" from the front of the device: not excessive but noticeable particularly if you are running other machinery and concerned about the total noise in your working environment. I do not have the equipment to test the claimed ionizing output, but have no reason to doubt the figures as I found it to be effective in removing electrostatic cling on Nylon/Polyester filaments. It is worth considering that, as a fan/blower it does of course produce increased air currents over the workspace which in themselves may be disruptive to fine assembly/work operations. The fan (airflow) output is adjustable but the ratio of positive to negative ions is not. The device does not have to be opened to clean the ion needle, this can be done by turning a cleaning knob on the outside of the case. Currently retailing at £98.31 I think it is very reasonably priced, particularly if you are looking for something with a relatively small "footprint". 5 stars.

Does what it says it does

Made in China and supplied under numerous different brand names, this appears to be a computer cooling fan with an ionizer using copper points. At the price, I'd have expected carbon fibre bundles for superior ionisation. That said, it was hard to tell if this was more than a fan, as I didn't detect any whiff of ozone from the ionisation. Style has certainly given way to function, as this is a has a very industrial look to it. £90 quid seems a lot for something which you can't see working but I guess if you're buying for a business handling electronic components, paper etc. it's worth a punt.

I have been passing the lockdown time playing with old hifi stereo equipment trying to get them to work. Not very static prone but some do have microprocessors in them. Thus I thought some air blown from this would do no harm and it seems okay and uses just over 20 watts of power. One of those live wire detector gadgets held in front registers electricity present so I guess it works. Basic inside with a transformer for the high voltage and a manual cleaner knob on the front to clean the electrodes. More for industrial rather than domestic use.
