Arrived in good shape. A bit heavy once filled, but still able to maneuver it as needed. Bought these for use with my portable tri-fuel generator. Propane lasts forever whereas gasoline goes bad over time so I decided this was a good investment to store the propane until it's needed.

The Flame King 40-lb tank feels solid, filled easily, and the valve works smoothly. No leaks, no issues—just heavier to move around than smaller cylinders. So far it’s performed exactly the way I expected.

I purchased this additional propane tank for my gas/propane generator for emergency use. I really like the size of the 40lb tank as it's fairly heavy when full, but definitely manageable. Shipping arrived in a large box, with little packing material, but no dents and or major issues. I should note it was white paint only, no decals for Flame King, etc. I was able to get it filled over this past weekend, no issues. I was able to get this 40lb and my smaller 20lb filled for $49 w/tax, which is pretty reasonable. I'm now set with 60lbs of propane along with a few 5 gallon tanks of gas in case of power outages as winter continues.

We recently did an outdoor kitchen in our backyard. Part of that was a pizza station I had built. I use an OONI Pizza Oven (which is great, btw), and it runs off propane. If I use the standard 20lb propane tanks, I would have to place the tank on top of my pizza counter because the connecting line is only 3 feet. I wanted the propane to be on the ground, behind my pizza station, that way it's out of sight. So I had a choice, either place the propane tank on my counter next to my pizza oven, or, behind my pizza station I could stack up about 6 pavers and set the tank on top of those, that way the connecting hose would reach. It would work, but it was a hassle. Now with this tank I can just set it on the ground behind my pizza station and, since it's so tall, the the propane line can easily reach from the tank to the pizza oven. It also holds twice as much (if not more) propane so that means it will last twice as long, bonus! The tank arrived in perfect condition. It was actually so nice I almost didn't want to put it outside, lol. The power output seems about the same as I was getting from the smaller tanks, so I really have nothing negative to say about this tank at all. It worked out perfectly for me. I can now hide my tank without having to stack up a bunch of pavers first. Very happy with my purchase.
