Better than the Amedei Porcelana IMO
The Porcelana is one of the best chocolates in the world, but I personally liked the Chuao better. It tastes more chocolatey than the Porcelana. Both are limited edition, thus they are both expensive. The Chuao is bitter but not too much, sweet but not cloyingly sweet. It has a richer, creamier texture than the Porcelana. It's also a bit "earthier". It has hints of fruit flavor. You can smell the chocolate as soon as you open the packaging; the did not skimp on the cocoa with this one.

Worst company ever!!!!
I ordered Chocolate from Italy. Maybe this was the first mistake since it is Texas in the Summer. Anyway I took a chance because this is suppose to be the best chocolate in the world; according to another website. Anyway the chocolate arrived at my door when I was not there. So fedex in all its wisdom drove around with it all day and tried again when I was not there. I had to go to the fed ex office and pick it up. When I opened the box of course the chocolate was soup and the remains of a soggy single ice pack. What does this say about this company? They ship from Italy with one tiny ice pack; not even dry ice. Also they said it was my fault that I was not home when Fed ex tried to deliver the package. So I am out $75 and nothing to show for it. Please send a message to this company that their chocolate is not all it is cracked up to be.

Divine - the very best
This is the best chocolate on the planet. It's grown in the mountains of Venezuela and every single bean is purchased by an Italian chocolate maker. Put a small segment of this bar in your mouth. DO NOT CHEW IT. Let it slowly melt and experience every little nuance of its wonderful, complex flavor. Chocolate of the gods.

In my humble opinion.....
To be honest with you I have to say that despite the press, its not worth the $17.50. Here's the scoop.... I consider myself something of a chocolate snob and read about this chocolate for over a year. I asked to be put on Amazon's watch list and notified when it became available this year. The taste was interesting and wonderfully complex (as expected). But what I didn't expect was that this chocolate wasn't the best thing I ever tasted (like some of the reviewers would have me believe). In fact, I rate this chocolate a 3.5 out of 5. Yes its rare, and yes it has interesting and varied notes, but it just failed to overwhelm me. In this price range I think the 72% cacao "Good and Evil" by Bourdain/Ripert/Curtin is a better value with a better taste. But the ultimate result came when I hosted a "taste off" with a dozen or so higher end, dark chocolates. The winner turn out to be Green&Black's 70% Dark (available right here on Amazon for $3.50 a bar. There you have my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.......

Best chocolate in the world?
I am a chocolate nut and always have been. It translates into 'Food of the Gods'. Well they must be buying Amedei chocolate! It is the best I have ever found and I have tried many, many brands and types. I have yet to find better.

Not worth the money - most belgium chocolate is way cheaper and way better.
This bar is not worth the hype, it tastes waxy and truthfully does not have the true chocolate taste that many other high end chocolate bars do. One bar that is way better and costs about an 1/8 of the price is Cote D'Or Noir de Noir give it a try for about $6.00 a bar.

Love It!
Gifted my doctor with this wonderfully delicious bar and was he ever pleased. I am a chocolate aficionado and he depends on me to keep him supplied with fine chocolates; it is my pleasure as he is a wonderful physician and good person.
