Great budget mic set-up for family memories or content creators.
Pros: I wasn't sure what to expect from this mic set. Given that it is so afforadable I had low expectations but I'm actually really pleasantly surprised by these. I've been using them daily for months now and they never let me down. They're very easy to use and set up takes only a minute. They even come with a 2 year warranty, so that's a nice little extra that gives me peace of mind. I find that these are great for on location interviews with one subject. A traditional mic can make people feel shy and go into their shell but these are so small and unobtrusive, just clip them to your shirt and you're good to go. They're so much less intimidating and allow your guest to focus on the conversation and feel at ease. That means better conversations and better content. They have a nice clear sound quality to them too, no reverb or messy/ muddy highs or lows, just crisp, nicely balanced and reliable sound. They claim that they will work for 30 hours (that's including charging with the case so it's not continuous) and I've used them easily for 6 hour stretches at a time with no trouble. I will continue to increase and test their battery life and see how they hold up, and I'll update if anything changes, but so far I'm impressed with these. They charge very quickly, the charging case makes mobile charging easy and fast. These mic set-ups are perfect for on-the-go busy people. Each transmitter works for up to 5 hours. The mobile charging case is tiny and easy to take with you anywhere and it recharges the transmitters twice which will extend their battery life for up to 15 hours. These mics claim a range of 164ft. I've used them to around 120 ft with zero issues so I find their claim to be believable. Cons: - The only real con I've had with these mics is that sometimes when pinned to a guest and turn dup high you can hear the rustling of their clothing and every throat-clearing breathy inhalation and exhalation, so be careful about your placement, etc. This is actually because the mics are so sensitive, which means they are great quality, but it can be annoying, so play with them and get to know how to get the best sound out of them before using them for a big project. The following cons apply to ALL lavalier mics, it's just part of the trade-off of easy, mobile and unintimidating lav mics. While lavs are a super convenient way to get someone on mic, they do have a limit to how good they can sound. They are small and if not placed perfectly can not pick up sound as well as you might want. They're omni-directional, so they can pick up a lot more of the noise in the room than say, a cardiod would. But, since they're omni-directional, they don't ever really get that nice proximity effect which gives you that awesome bass. This may just be a preference of mine, though.

There’s better out there
Returned. I charged for two days prior to use, but my Oddo content lacked audio due to the lack of performance on my first trial with this product. As a content creator, this was a total embarrassment. Going back to use the cheap and reliable system.

You may love it or hate it - depends on what you're wearing
Ok, that title sounds a bit weird, but it's true. The reason is that unlike most of the similar microphones on the market, these are round, making them compact. That leads me to my only complaint: the compactness can turn against you if you're not careful, as the microphone may want to flip over if you hang it wrong or your shirt does not have enough stiffness to keep it in place. Not necessarily a bad thing unless you're on camera, in which case it can be frustrating. It seems to work pretty much like all the others on the market. It has very decent noise cancerization and sound quality, but at a higher price than most. Thus, the question becomes, "is it worth it?" I'd say yes, depending on your needs. Someone shooting video or having long recording sessions will probably see the extra value in what it offers. The clip on the back is magnetically attached and there are two of them to make sure it only goes on one way. That helps a lot with the "flip" issue mentioned earlier. The microphones are heavier than most. It claims in excess of 15 hours and based on heft along, I'm leaning towards believing that they stuck a bigger battery into its design. Then there is the compactness which, with a little creativity, can help you make it disappear in a video shoot. Next is the range. I didn't go 165 feet, but I went a lot farther than the standard 30 feet for Bluetooth, and it worked great. The silver square on the front is a mute button, so you can prevent your microphone from transmitting. Finally, we come to the case which charges the transmitters when they are set in place. That, plus the nice leather like outside, is a great addition to a well-made product.

Not Great
Kind of a let down. The microphones are very large and noticeable on a video, so not very attractive. Sound is good, just not very professional looking when in use.

Excellent Sound Quality and Noise Cancelation
I've gone through a lot of the less expensive types of Lavalier microphones, many of which were average to below average quality. That's not the case with the Boya Lavalier mic. This product is truly outstanding in terms of design, quality, and ease of use. I'm using it professionally for recording video podcasts through my iPhone with great results. The button style design is really smart in my opinion. It's far more ergonomic over the long slender style of mics I've used, and is significantly higher quality. The clip itself is larger and holds extremely well. I've clipped it onto a shirt pocket, jacket lapel, and even the brim of a hat and never had an issue with it coming off. Setup is simply plug and go. There is literally nothing else to do. The case is crazy high quality and does a wonderful job of protecting and charging the mics. A USB-C port is located on the backside of the case and the included cable allows you to plug it into a standard USB socket. It also comes with two "dead cat" attachments to eliminate wind noise when recording outside, which work great. Everything stows perfectly in the compact case, which includes a handy strap and a very smooth working zipper. FYI....the button mics have contacts on the underside that are used for charging when they are stowed in the case. There is a small, almost invisible, protective covering that needs to be removed from those contacts for charging to work. In short, this is a fantastic Lavalier mic that can be used professionally and is very affordable. I love it!

Excellent wireless lavalier microphones for use with an iPhone
The BOYA Wireless Lavalier Microphone for iPhone kit includes two microphones, two microphone wind covers, a compact lightning connector for an iPhone, a zippered charging case with storage space for the wind covers, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. I am using the mics for when recording video in different settings. What I like about the kit: it includes two mics; it has magnetic clips for microphones that can be clipped on to a pocket or clipped on magnetically through clothing; the charging case is very easy to use and has space for each mic with the clip attached; the iPhone lightning adapter includes a USB-C charging port, and it has USB-C charging for the microphone case. The microphones also magnetically snap into place in the charging case. The lightning connector has a small extension between the adapter and the lightning connector, so the connector can attach if a case is on the iPhone. The extension had no trouble fitting through the lightning port opening in my case and the adapter attached just fine through the case. However, my case is not particularly thick on the edges and the adapter is up snuggly against my case. If the adapter is used with a case with thicker edges, it might be hard to get a working attachment between the adapter and the iPhone. Sound-wise the microphones worked very well. There was no hissing, clicking, or popping when I recorded video or audio using the mics. My wife and I each put a mic on our lapels and started recording video -- there was no problem for the mics to simultaneously pick up both our voices. My wife placed a thick sweater on over the mic, and it still picked up the sound of her voice unchanged. I then walked into a different room about 20 or more feet away – there were three walls and some potential electronic interference sources between the iPhone and myself, but the recordings remained clear with no change in volume, and no clicking or popping.

You Can't Beat BOYA on price or quality
This is my second set of BOYA microphones and they do not disappoint. They are extremely well made and the charging case is such and awesome plus. They just look and feel great, in your hand, and BOYA thinks of everything when it comes to their product. The sound quality is fantastic in these. I use them to make short videos for advertising for my company as well as advertising for some nonprofit organizations and this makes it sound professional even when done outdoors or in a room with bad acoustics. They also fit in just about any bag and are easy to carry around with you, then simply plug them into your iphone and they automatically connect and begin working. There is very little effort involved in turning your videos into professional quality recordings simply by pulling these out of their comfy little charging case and plugging them in. If you do not have a set of these, it is a must for any video maker. You will not be disappointed, do not click away, buy now!
