Remote Control Bulldozer TR-213

Update: I’ve had the loader for a while now and it’s been great. Good weight, easy to use and overall great quality. If you buy this one , you will definitely be happy with it, in comparison to the $40 version. I also have the top race hobby grade excavator and that’s great too. We are so close to making RTR high torque Rc construction vehicles at an affordable price, that I can taste it. There are other loaders out there for 3k to 7k dollars but that’s ridiculous. The Loader works good, but with a few modifications this thing can be incredible. Hope to see the Rc hobby progress to see those overpriced professional grade vehicles made cheaper with the same torque at an affordable price for the masses. Maybe then everyone can get a chance to enjoy digging in their back yard. There are 5 things that you can modify to make this version even better. 1. The steering is very slow Replacing with a heavy duty metal gear servo would help a lot. 2. Limit switches are too far out, which prevents full travel of the bucket, lifting arm and turning radius. Add shims. 3. Bucket arm doesn’t go high enough to reach any dump truck on the market. Add length to arms. 4. Doesn’t have enough power to go up a large hill or push heavy dirt. Convert to higher voltage, 3s lipo. Add slightly more weight and foam in the tires. 5. Last item and the most important. Better ESCs with BRAKE for the drive wheels, bucket and turning using a 3s or 4s battery. This will give you more power to climb hills and push dirt. Better control for everything across the board. Brake will keep the RC from sliding back on a hill. The pros: 1. Model looks great, good detail and I like the color they chose. 2. It’s heavy, made with metal parts. 3. The tires are real rubber with good tread pattern. 4. Comes with Lights and Sound. 5. With practice, it performs well in loose dirt. 6. Great price with the ability to easily modify 7. Very durable. Don’t get me wrong this loader is good, but just a few improvements would make this the most awesome Rc on the market today. The framework is already there. You could do these mods yourself, but you need the time, skill and tools to accomplish the task. It would be much better if this was incorporated into the manufacturing as a Ready to run. I don’t know this person and I’m not promoting mods to your loader, I just thought it was informative. Overall this is a good Loader, but if China would just start using their own ESCs and metal servos in all of their RC products, the difference would be night and day. It costs us $5 for an ESC and $16 for a metal servo, so adding this to the build would cost them hardly nothing. Hopefully we will see a professional grade Loader in the future, but for know this is the best one out there, right out of the box. I know I’m being hard on manufacturers, but the infrastructure is there, look at the traxxas trx4 and Xmax. Put that kind of torque in an excavator, loader and dump truck and it will change the world of RC forever.

This mostly metal RC TR-213 Front End Loader is AWESOME! The Top Race 14th scale front end loader arrived in very nice and thoughtful packaging, after unboxing and letting the battery charge for 5 hours i was able to test everything. Sound and lighting systems work great. The machine itself feels well made and is pretty dang heavy. Not a single Scratch or imperfection. it arrived absolutely Mint. The left stick controls forward, reverse, left and right movement of the machine. The right stick controls the bucket and arm. i was able to test the lifting strength with a gallon milk jug container filled approx. 3/4s full with water which should be about 5 pounds, seemed to handle it fine, but that's about as far as id push it. Tested how it scoops up material by feeding the cats, nice and SMOOTH! No complicated setup involved, just throw batteries in it and head on over to the MINE SITE!! My front loader lasted less than an hour. Great fun! I stopped for dinner and the fun was over. The unit wouldn’t turn on. I checked and charged the batteries, the whole check up. Nothing will get this thing moving again. I tried to find something on line, sent an e-mail to the contact number listed, even tried the seller. Nobody will get back to me. A very expensive lesson for a piece of “full metal” I.e plastic that won’t even lift one pebble, with no support for TROUBLESHOOTING. My advise, KEEP LOOKING,,,,, ,

So I kind of stumbled into this hobby on you tube one day. The professional grade RC construction equipment is super pricey, like thousands of dollars. I did quite a bit of research and found top race and thought I'd check them out. It was packaged very well from Amazon and top race. The loader itself comes in a black box and is held by styrofoam, inside the box was the loader, charger, battery, controller and instruction booklet. You'll need 4 double a batteries for the controller which isnt the best but perfect for the person that just wants to play. I took it out of the box and was pleased with the appearance of the loader. It's got nice details, a metal bucket, metal arms, rubber wheels and the rest of the body is a durable plastic. Theres no assembly required, just throw in the batteries and start it up. The controls are really simple to figure out but will also require some skill to master which makes this a great RC for anyone to pick up and play with. It can pick up dirt off the ground but is best in soft piles in my opinion. I'm pretty sure you can upgrade this machine if you know what your doing with RC's. I hope this answers some questions people may have. All in all this is a great RC and I'm very happy with this purchase. I'll be getting the 23 channel excavator next.

Mostly metal, well made and finished. Biggest drawback is the steering servo is too slow. I will take mine apart and update. I dont know why they didn't spend a little more for a better servo. Its still worth the price under $250.

I was waiting this moment to get such nice professional toy, as I can feel the power of control such construction equipment. I received it even realer than expected delivery date. I unboxed from very wonderful packaging and protecting, and I kept the batteries for charging more than 4 hours just to make sure its fully charged. after that I was very excited when I try it, as its amazing professional toys. But my excitation and dream disappeared when suddenly it can not turn right or left. I don't what's the problem I even did not try to push hard or overloaded just drive it in my garage floor. I checked the batteries I thought when the charging level getting low might effect the torque, so I recharged the batteries but again not response, still can do everything except turn right or left. I was so disappointed and sad. I cant see any other product available. but you know honesty, I was hesitated to contact the seller, before decide to return the toy, because I was not sure the seller can fix the issue or replace it before I end of retuning policy date, and then I may end up with have such nice toy but defect and pretty expensive. when I purchased I was ready to purchase such expensive professional toy, but I was expect high quality and very good quality control. my resolution is, this product is expensive and might site on shelf for awhile without rechecking the functionality before sell it. I hope the seller can fix this defect because its amazing professional toy and try to provide some promotion to help the professional people can purchase it. I recommend to purchased and it worth to try, you may not face the problem I had. and still I will try if they fix this issue I may re purchase it again.

For those just getting into the hobby, this is 1/16 scale loader with soft rubber tires and good weight. I would recommend using double e volvo 1/26 or smaller as you won't be able to pull up and dump into the bed if its larger unless you use ramp or platform. It will move lift dump scale size loads. With dirt I had on hand it drove it and lift dump scale size (1/4 of bucket) . Lights n sounds work well and packaged definitely waa made to protect the loader during shipping process. You will need tiny screws driver and 2 AA batteries. Battery and charger was provided for the loader. I could see ordering from the seller again for different model

If using with the tr-212 dump truck you’ll need a 1/2” step up for fully loading the truck cause the arms don’t raise quite high enough to clear. I either build a small ramp as I’m working it or place a 1/2”board next to wear I park the truck to load it. And it’s slow turning even for its scale. Enough cons this thing is pretty cool. It loads out well and I like the steal bucket. Remember it’s 1:14 scale as you work it then you won’t be disappointed. I can lift my dump truck with it so it’s still very impressive. Loose dirt works best. Mud sucks!! But after the mud dries it comes right off the tires just driving it around. I’m happy with this purchase and no problem with it so far. It has decent off road capabilities as well. Remember 1:14 scale small rocks are boulders in that scale.
