The quality and color of this embroidery thread is top notch! Thread is very strong and durable. It is also a really nice thickness and is easy to use for any sewing or embroidery project. Size of bobbins you receive makes this value for your money. I used it to stitch on these cherry charms.

I purchased a multi-pack of this metallic thread in 2019 and hated using it. Even with using the suggested needle, my machine on its slowest speed, adjusting the tension, and using a thread feeder that allows it to come off the roll like toilet paper, the thread and needles broke often. Even with the difficulty, I used it on my Christmas tree skirt this year. When the color I needed ran out, I tried to buy a different brand, but it was in high demand and I ended up buying this same brand and fully expected to have nothing but trouble. Much to my surprise, this new batch of thread is so much better than my last batch. I still follow the same setup as before, but the thread and needle breaks have stopped and my stitches look beautiful. Thank you for the new and improved version. I'm a very happy camper.

The metallic thread looks beautiful on my Christmas mini quilt. Adds just the right amount of sparkle. I did use a needle for metallic thread on my embroidery machine. I also adjusted the tension and speed. I had no issues with the thread snapping or splitting.

Used to outline and add dimension and accents to quilted Holiday Panels . Good value & decent quality worked well for my projects! Adds some depth and emphasis to outline.

I bought a pack of gold metallic machine embroidery thread last time but found it to be too brassy looking for the cross bookmark. Wanting to try a different shade proved to be harder than it should have been. I was required to order a pack of two different shades, one of which was the previous brassy color. The spool marked vivid gold stitched up more to my liking but wish I could buy it in a larger size and not coupled with something I don’t like or need. Other than that, it stitched up quite well with just a few issues which is common when working with any metallic thread.

I hate using thread brands I don't know but I was desperate for a specific metallic thread color that I could get next day and I took a chance. The color was right, the thread embroidered with no tangling or breaks, everything went smoothly. The price was less expensive then other thread brands.

I love the 40 weight embroidery thread and the stabilizers, but the metallic thread is very difficult to embroider with. The thread kinks, just as fine metal wire does, as it is threading into the machine and doesn't unkink anywhere along the route to the needle. My heart was in my hands waiting for it to break, sheer, or bird's nest when stitching a small design. In fact, the first stitch out was ruined, including the fabric. I was really disappointed that it didn't work for me, but very much appreciated being able to return it for a refund. Kingstar brand metallic thread is a supple metallic thread that embroiders like a dream, rarely breaking. The result is perfect and beautiful. It's much more expensive but it does what it's supposed to do, with ease and perfection.

I used metallic thread with 2mm puff foam. I used the larger eye sharp top stitch needle, loosened tension and lowered machine speed to 400 spm. Stitched beautifully with no thread breakage. Recommend; just know needle, speed and tension will need to be adjusted.

The thread is strong and suits my Janome 550E machine. The colours are excellent.

I will note that these need to be used with proper embroidery machine needles or metallic machine needles. I used them with an Organ top stitch double needle with my flower stitch presser foot, and they never snapped. I did what was recommended and loosened the upper tension, and they performed the way you'd expect them to. I made certain to use coffee filters beneath the project to stabilize the fabric for the embroidered stitch work, and this thread held up like a champ. And when I tore the coffee filter away from the finished round, the stitch held like any other thread would have. The key is tension and a proper embroidery needle. Recommend using metallic needles with this, and to go slowly when stitching. The results are impressive. my ONLY complaint is there are no adapters for the spools, so I had to dream up my own solution (tore a Gutermann spool apart and used it inside). It fit the side spool and spare upright spool pins on my machine, and double needle stitched just fine. Spools come with the mesh covers to make sewing easier too. I'm glad for that. If you need some holiday cheer on something, these threads will give you great results.
