I needed to wait for decent weather before I installed this solar power for my 5in1 weather station. So far this works Great. For the past 1-15yrs, I've had a 5in1 station, I've changed out batteries every 4-6 months and was glad I had it low enough that I could use a step stool to change the batteries wondering how other owners were doing changing batteries from a ladder or bringing a high pole down that often. I am happy those days are over with this solar powered power supply. It is easy to install with one piece sliding into the battery compartment replacing the four batteries. Plus it has a power cord long enough if there is a need to be places in a area with better sun. I'm glad to have it and well worth the cost to keep from replacing any more batteries.

Works so far - see how long it lasts — no more changing batteries every 2 weeks — that makes it worth it — it should come this way with the station

There is mixed reviews on how well the panel works, but I was tired of climbing the ladder and changing batteries outside of the regular maintenance the sensors require, so I rolled the proverbial dice. I received the panel this past January, install was easy, and so far no issues, the unit hasn’t lost power, the supplied rechargeable battery so far has been able to supply power at night, and during inclement weather. The panel is mounted about 10’ above the ground on the side of the pole that has the weather sensor about 15’ above it. The cable between the panel is a bit excessive in my case, but I could see a need for the length depending on how far away the panel needs to be to capture sunlight. I haven’t had to clean the panel yet, plan on cleaning the panel during the annual sensor maintenance cycle.

This works perfectly to keep my weather station powered. The adapter fit right in to replace the battery cover.
