“Practice Without the Boom”
These Artemis Snap Caps are perfect for dry fire practice. The weight feels close to real, which makes loading, unloading, and malfunction drills much more realistic. They cycle smoothly and feed well during training. The build quality is solid, and they’ve held up to repeated use without falling apart. Great for safely practicing trigger control and handling skills without using live ammo. If you’re serious about training at home and want something reusable and reliable, these get the job done. Five stars. Safe, smart practice made simple. 🎯

Excellent Training Tool – Feels Real & Works Perfectly 🔫✨
These snap caps are exactly what I was looking for! They have a realistic weight and feel very close to real rounds, which makes dry fire practice and malfunction drills much more effective 💪 The build quality is solid, they feed smoothly, and the primers hold up well after repeated use. I really like that they’re reusable and clearly marked, so there’s no confusion during training. Great value for safe practice at home or at the range—highly recommend for anyone serious about firearm training 🎯👌

Good for Wearing In a 9mm
I have a 9mm Ruger that I hardly shoot. I wanted to break in the slide and chambering mechanisms so I bought these. Sometimes they will miss fire, which is good because you get to practice clearing the misfire. You can "fire" the gun while not worrying about damage to the firing pin (so I've read and heard). There are only six provided so if you want to have more in the clip, just buy a couple of extra packs. I'm fine with six though. The weight feels like a 9mm bullet and the shape and size seems spot on as well. Not sure on the durability yet as I've only used them twice. Since the 9mm is centerfire, there is a rubber center piece on the rear of the bullet that absorbs the force of the firing pin. It didn't come with replacement rubber centers so I guess I'll just have to order another box when these get worn down.

Smooth Cycling, Accurate Weight 223/5.56
These snap caps are well made and weighted perfectly. They have removable and replaceable primers and a tool is included for this process. For visual safety, the dummy plastic projectile portion is bright yellow and the metal case is machined through with a large hole. Furthermore, the entire cartridge can disassembled by unscrewing the top from the base. Everything is handily stored in the plastic case in which they are shipped. You get 10 in a box for a reasonable price, and this is a nice quantity for practicing dry firing skills, mag loading, and manually cycling your receiver for function checks. The rounds weigh 15g/.5oz each, and a live 223 I had for comparison weighs 12g/.38oz. I imagine these weigh closer to a 5.56. Function: I inserted all 10 of these into a 30-capacity mag, manually cycling them through and reloading a number of times. I had no issues with seating or ejection and cycling was smooth and authentic. I didn't notice any wear or indentation on the primers after use, so not sure I'll ever need to replace them. Verdict: Highly recommended. These are perfect for practicing safely at home without excessive wear to your firing pin. They feel like actual rounds, but are safely distinguished by their bright color. For novice users, these are great tools for learning how to properly manually cycle and the forces required to prevent malfunctions.

Good practice rounds, worth the price.
I like these snap caps. They are inexpensive in the midrange of caps i have purchased in the past. They work fine in mags and eject most of the time. Smart to keep a long dowel rod to poke out the occasional sticking snap cap.

Great aid for introducing novices to handling firearms.
My wife is NOT a regular shooter at all. I bought these dummy rounds for my wife so she can train with them at home to familiarize herself enough with the manual of arms for my home defense carbine so as not to be completely helpless in case I am not home.

Best that there is!
The quality is superb and the design is inspired. These caps will cycle through my Ruger Mk 3 & 4 and my S&W M 41. These do not "beat down" like the all plastic snap caps that some sell. When it becomes necessary the rim cover is easily replaced. Don't waste your money on bargain items!

I love these things! I've always used snap caps to train. At first with simple handling, but then to manage jams and misfires. Mixing in a snap cap ensures a safe misfire experience for people undergoing training. I got the flashing 12 gauge shell version and I didn't think I would like the flashing LED, but knew they would eventually turn into regular flash caps. It turns out I love them! It makes finding them on the ground much easier. This is especially true at my range where we tend to go through quite a few shells. They're literally sitting on the ground flashing when they are discharged. They look and feel like proper 12 gauge shells which is perfect for training. Loading and unloading they feel natural. You can tell when one is fired as it doesn't make a hard hammer sound, but that's as expected given the protective rubber firing pin protector. These are great value as they add the LED, which is a feature it turns out I quite like. This kit is a great addition to my collection of training gear.

These dummy rounds are crafted to mimic live ammunition in both size and weight, making them ideal for malfunction drills, dry fire training, and firearm handling exercises. The high-visibility design ensures easy identification, reducing the risk of confusion with live rounds. Constructed from durable mild steel and plastic, they are built to withstand repeated use without rim breakage. The rubber primer protects the firearm’s firing pin, making them a safe and reliable choice for training. Whether you're practicing loading/reloading, diagnosing shooting issues, or refining gun handling skills, these dummy rounds provide a realistic training experience without any risk.
