I'm so glad my books arrived in excellent condition (as u can see in my pics). I just started watching the Amazon series Jack Ryan and it is really good, so I decided to buy the books. As soon as I finish my current book (The Green Mile) I'll get started on these. Can't wait and I highly recommend!

I got this set for my sil. He's an avid reader and loves this genre. He had read Hunt for Red October 15 years ago, and had not read the other two in the set. He was very happy with them and was looking forward to reading HRO again since it had been so long!

These are Clancy’s first three. All became films. Nice to compare written work with cinematic material.

Jack Ryan is the pivot point for all of Clancy's original works. These three, along with the following few books, kept the Jack Ryan story true to it's origin. I'm not a fan of the later collaborations Clancy took part in, as they went too far afield of how I understood Jack Ryan, Mary Pat, admiral Greer, and all the other lovable characters in the original books. With the Jack Ryan Amazon series, there's a decent remnant of the original Jack Ryan. But you won't find the deep, classic cast in those newer books. For me, these 3 books will always be what made Tom Clancy a master in my mind. They are, admittedly, books I read in my formative years. That does not change my opinion though. I have gone back and re-read these books as an adult. They still hold the #1 spot in my heart for the Jack Ryan universe.
