I read the reviews so I knew before hand that the top may be a little big. Overall I loved the dress, it was well made and it got me beautifully I believe! I was complemented throughout the night and people didn't believe I had gotten it off of amazon. It is long so keep that in mind, I'm 5'5 and I had on hella but the weren't 6 inches, still, I had to make sure I did not slip or stepped on the dress. I would say buy some type of plunge bra, I bought the maiden form plunge bra off of amazon and it does fit kind of tight and small, but it work great for the dress! I hope I helped someone

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. It has the kind of simplicity that looks like it cost a fortune. The fabric is wonderful, a matte silky skirt and the top a perfectly dyed to match chiffon. A slight train in the back adds an extra touch of sophisticated glamour.I normally were size 4-6 or small/medium and I am 5'7" and a D cup. The dress is a perfect length with heels. The problem with this dress is that it doesn't accommodate a larger chest. It was a bit tight to zip up but the criss-cross back means the triangle cups are very tight and no way to adjust. This dress, IMO, should have the pattern changed to be a halter or the back pieces should have elastic on the bottom to be more flexible. As such, i am returning the one I bought, which doesn't change the fact that it is a fantastic dress, especially for the $$. I will probably order another, several sizes larger and see if i can have it altered.

This dress is really pretty good quality, especially for the price. It runs small--I usually wear a 2 or 4 (I'm 5'4" 130 lbs), so I ordered the 4 but couldn't get it within 2 inches of being able to zip, so I had to return it. Make sure to follow the sizing chart (one of the images) so this doesn't happen to you--after looking at the chart, I see that I should have gotten a 6. It is a plunge neckline, which can easily be made less revealing by sewing a lace or fabric triangle in it. The back and underarms are also quite open. The length was great. I'm in a wheelchair and therefore need something a little longer since everything rides up when you sit, and it was long enough but didn't drag on the floor. It would also look great standing with heels. I will be either ordering this dress in the correct size, or a different but very similar Ever Pretty dress.

Mid-move I needed a formal dress and was reluctant to spend much as I knew I'd shortly be reunited with my many formals. I found this dress and decided to take a chance. It was well worth it! The sizing is British, so it's important that you look at the actual measurements provided, and not the size, but I found that it was true to the sizing they indicated. I needed to have the back straps taken in slightly to not have the front sag, but I believe that would be true of any dress of this nature. The dress is a gorgeous classic and you'd never guess the cost from looking at it. It's a very flattering cut, particularly if you're fuller chested or hour-glass shaped - it may be equally flattering for other figures, but I can't speak to those.I'm 5'1 and with 4 inch heels didn't need it taken up, but did have to hold onto the train to avoid trouble. The material is beautiful and the color is gorgeous. I'd strongly suggest spanx with the dress. I went braless due to the failure of the breast lifts I'd ordered to arrive, and if you have the back straps fitted, it was quite comfortable.Overall, a great dress, particularly for the price.

I ordered this dress for an event, but I had to send this dress back bc it was too small. I found some reviews that said it ran too big, some that said it ran small. I measured between the size 8 and size 10 so I went with the smaller size. I tried the dress on to find that the 8 was too small, so I decided to wear a different dress to the event. I think if you measure between sizes it is best to go up a size. Anyway, the dress was so pretty and the material looks great for the price you pay. It is a simple, but elegant dress appropriate for any formal or semi-formal event. I did notice a sewing error where the shoulder strap attaches to the front, so you may want to order the dress in advance so you can 1) steam it or let the wrinkles fall out 2) inspect for defects. I suppose the cheap price does come with its risks (manufacturing quality).

I received this dress quickly and was pleasantly surprised upon opening the package. Firstly I was confused as to whether it was actually my dress in there as it came folded in the tiniest bag ever! My hopes dropped into my toes! Disappointed and all the negative reviews rushing through my head I got a knife and started opening the bag. First thing I felt when I saw the material as I pulled the dress out was awe at the majestic color and soft, silky material. As I fully opened the dress I was overcome with pleasure as I realized it was fully lined and as beautiful as pictured (minus the millions of wrinkles that I successfully steamed away). Overly excited I tried the dress on and it fit absolutely perfectly (I'm 5'5 and extremely tiny weighing 104lbs and with a bra size of 32A) I ordered a size 4.All in all not even the packaging could lose a star for this impressive dress for a steal of a price! This dress came overnight, and is a nice quality for the price. I was hoping from some of the other reviews that it would be a little longer -- I'm 5'9'' and it would be long enough if I wear flats, and I might be able to get away with heels because of the mini-train in the back. The only thing I'm not sold on is the fact that the waist is quite large. I got a UK4, and it fits my boobs and hips, but there's a lot more slack (maybe 1.5") in the waist than I expected, and unless I take it in, the shape won't be as nice as it could be and my boobs will shift around (needs to be tight under the boobs, which currently it isn't).The colour is lovely, just like the pics, and there is a nice lining to the dress. I'm a little torn about keeping it or returning it; I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort to have it altered. But since it's only £16, I will probably just dart the back.

For the price paid, you really can't beat it. You get the dress you see modelled in the picture, so trust what you see is what you're going to get. This is a beautiful strong purple colour that was easy to get into and comfortable to wear and if you've got big boobs, don't worry, your assets will be adequately and appropriately covered. This is the second "Ever Pretty" gown I've bought and I'm delighted with it. Highly reccommended.

This is a beautiful dress. The fabric is beautiful, the workmanship is ok the colour is lovely. It is a bit long but if your comfortable in high heels then problem solved. It goes VERY low in the front so I'm going to have to alter that. The only thing that lets this down is the price, it's a lovely dress but not quite worth the price tag. Which is why it loses a star. Other than that I'm quite happy.

Looking at some of the reviews I'm not entirely sure what people are expecting for their 20 quid, but I am really pleased with this dress. A full length evening gown for 20 quid! It looks fabulous on, and when dressed with with long gloves and a faux fur stole it looked amazing. Everyone was shocked when I told them how little it cost. Yes the stitching may be a little wonky here and there but it's A FULL LENGTH EVENING GOWN FOR TWENTY POUNDS!!! I'm 5'6", slim build, usually a UK 8, but went for a 6 in this dress and it is a perfect fit, so I definitely suggest that you measure yourself before ordering, rather than just going for your usual size.

Bought this for my daughters school prom. Arrived on date stated. Beautiful shade of green and with my daughters red hair looks stunning. Only one little adjustment to make to dress and that would be maybe a small tuck either side of bust to fit her a bit better. Really pleased and would buy from company again.
