The size is really flexible. I am really short and my upper half is pretty slim (5'2 104lb), so a things are very often too big on me. I was worried that this is only S not XS. In a way, these suits are a little too big on me, but it totally works because of the design.The top doesn't matter whether or not it has something to fill it, it still looks nice (you can kind of tell in the side photo that I don't have anything to fill it, but it's not obvious irl. If anything, the design sort of mimics a bit of bust weight to balance my figure in a nice way). The way the bottom is loose and scrunchy, which means you can scrunch it down more or less depending on torso length, or fill it in more or less depending on waistline size, and it will still work. I think even this size S could fit a wide range of body types. I have proportionally bigger thighs and they don't feel tight and suffocating at all around the thighs, though the back is the tightest part for me.I kept the red polka dot and navy blue and white and I get compliments whenever I wear these suits and I feel comfortable and charming. It's nice to have a suit where you can feel cute in a way that doesn't feel too exposed. I love a skimpier suit too, but sometimes the occasion is better suited to more coverage and this makes me still able to feel attractive.Incidentally men and women seem to equally love these vintage styles. My husband thinks they're super sexy even though they're way more covered than my other suits. One last note: this red/black color combo wasn't my first choice, I thought it would look cheesy wanna-be-vintage, but I made the mistake of asking my husband which one I should get and he chose this – the last one I wanted, so I got several. I was pleasantly surprised that red/black didn't look cheesy on, but vintage in a perfect way! I ended up buying 3 – the navy and green and white too – all are cute, but this ended up being my favorite! Funnily, green was my first choice and the one I ended up returning. Still a great suit though!! The white isn't sheer at all.

April 2024 update: i wore this all last summer and loved it. I felt very comfortable and confident in it at the beach. The top was very supportive, which i appreciated. I didn't notice the underwire at all, which is usually not the case for me! The bottoms covered well. I snipped off the buttons because they didn't sit correctly when the waist band rolled down to my natural waist. Got compliments and felt kinda cute :-) I wore this at the pool a few times and no issues with fading. Having gained 40lbs over menopause, I haven't been happy with bathing suits on my body. I don't like all the clammy wet fabric on skirted 1piece suits, but still wanted one that at least covers my flabby & cellulite covered belly. I searched a long time, read many many reviews, decided on this one. I read the sizing comments carefully. I'm 205lbs, 5'6", normally size 18-20, 38E, ordereded XXL (which on the tag says US12!). It fits perfectly, very comfortable. Yes, the bottoms roll down, but of course it will since it's higher than the natural waist. Easy enough to pull down the ruching to the natural waist.Haven't worn it to the beach yet, but if there are any issues in future with quality, etc, I will update.

I ❤️ this retro suit! I ordered an XXL (US 12). I am 5’5”, weigh 150 lbs and wear a 38 DDD. I wear a size 10 for shorts/jeans and a medium or large shirt depending on the cut. The top fits perfectly!!! The bottom is just a tad big in the back but I don’t have a nice full booty so that was to be expected lol! I see what others meant with the buttons being loose on the bottoms but it will be an easy fix with needle and thread. The only negative about the suit is the zip lock bag that the buttons came in was sticky and it was laying against the top part of the suit which causes a red-ish / blue-ish stain on the front left cup. It’s kind of hard to see in the pic I posted but definitely noticeable in person. That was the *only* reason i gave it 4 ⭐️ And not 5. I dropped it off at UPS yesterday and my new one will be here this week! I will definitely be ordering this suit in multiple other styles in colors. I have NEVER ordered clothing online especially not a swimsuit but the reviews pointed me in the right direction on sizing. I have a TON of stretch marks from having my kiddo from one side of my tummy to the other and they start about 4” under my chest all the way down to my bikini line and the bottoms completely covers everything with a little peak of skin between the bottom and top. Great suit !!!!!

Where has this suit been all my life? I prefer covering my stomach (c-section, post-kid belly, etc.) and my torso is so long that most "high-waisted" swim bottoms don't cover my belly button. This actually covers what it claims to cover, and is so much more flattering than any other high-waisted swimsuit I've worn because it sits at the smallest part of my natural waist rather than below.My only qualm is that the sizing's a little off—I usually wear a medium (and often need to size up to large for Amazon swimwear) and bought a medium. The top fits pretty well but I could've sized down to small bottoms, since it's a little loose around my waist.For reference, I'm 5'6",140 lb, about 32D/34C.
