This car is amazing and is very fast but not so fast that it’s hard to control. This is the perfect car for beginners and RC car hobbyists and you can upgrade EVERYTHING on it and make it go significantly faster than stock as long as you get Hyper Go parts but even without mods it is great quality for the price and is very durable. My one grudge with the car is the wheelie bar comes uninstalled and the instructions aren’t very clear but it is necessary or the car will flip but still a very good car. One thing to note though it is a brushed motor and the brushes will wear out so you will need to replace the motor eventually but you can find it on Amazon for $22.

Very good basher, handles jumps and abuse very well. It came with 2 replacement axles that had a plastic parts where the wheel attached. I broke 2 on the front but i replaced them with solid metal axles and i haven't had a problem since. Goes very fast with a 3s battery.

I didn’t expect that my 1/16 Hyper Go H16DR would be this much fun! I don’t take it outdoors (to keep the internals and the tires/wheels dust free), but that doesn’t diminish the fun factor one bit. The H16DR is speedy enough with the original 2S battery, but then it absolutely flies with the Angry Snail 3S battery I added (you don’t have to use the 3S, but I’m too attached to the upgraded performance to revert it back to the 2S battery). I’m getting back into the RC car/truck world for the first time since I was 12 or 13 and I’ll admit, when I first turned the H16DR on, I wasn’t used to the way it would just dart around like a fun loving puppy! ! In one week of playing after work it’s gotten much easier to handle. One advantage of indoor play is that the knobby tires grip the carpet and rugs so well that you should be able to develop the ability to control the RC comfortably when you’re outdoors. Though It’s only been a week since I got the H16DR, I’ve already ordered a newer version (the Hyper Go H16MT), and another Angry Snail 3S battery. Nevertheless, the H16DR is just too much fun to put down once you pick it up! It’s fast, sturdy, and ready for running around and jumping all day long!! It comes with TWO 2S batteries that seem to just last and last. You’ll love playing with the H16DR, like I do!

I got this for my 5 year old son to bash around in the park by our house. It's mainly a bunch of grass without any jumps or anything crazy, just little bumps, moguls and a few trees. He has a blast with it and plays with it every day. He's always waiting for me to arrive home from work so we can go drive our trucks around together. The nice thing about this is it isn't too fast for a young kid to handle and does have a 70% speed setting. He got used to that pretty quick and we bumped it up to 100%. I bought this RC knowing that eventually something would break, and I would be able to fix it rather than toss the whole thing in the trash like toy grade RC cars. I didn't think I would run into my first break so quickly though. First, one of the plastic CVDs broke, which I replaced with metal ones on all four corners. Then I assume I accidentally stripped one of the front steering block screw holes out (easy mistake with tiny metal self tapper into a plastic part) doing that repair, so I lost two screws (original and then replacement) and ended up replacing all four corners again with metal parts. It is way nicer than any toy grade RC you can buy, but still fairly fragile since the first break happened just bouncing around through grass. It's nice that you can fix any broken part, but eventually the parts add up and you'd be better off just springing for a little bit nicer model from the start with hex head screws and more metal bits. Plastic is fine on certain parts due to the flexibility that is needed, but in other areas, metal is much better. This is a great buy if you're stretching your budget. If you can afford a slightly nicer model, go for that instead. The ARRMA Granite Grom is what I would recommend over this if I could go back.

My son absolutely loves this. Functions just like it should. Has a reasonable speed. The power is also what it should be and he loves the look of it. It is easy to use and comes with parts to fix it if any break.
