Love that it will charge my computer off a USB cable that I always carry with me. Just ensure that you have a 15 volt power unit that can push out 45 watts. Cable is not included, but the thing I hate about it is the size. I have misplaced it a few times already. Having it with me on a site while at work, I know I'm going to leave it somewhere. With that I wish there was a like small cable or attachment that you can attach it to a cable and allow you to let it dangle when your just needing the USB. Personally I think I'm just going to carry a USB hub that allows power passthrough and just charge off the USB C direct. The USB hub is big enough it makes it harder to forget.

I picked up this USB-C to Surface adapter as a backup option for when I don’t have my regular Surface charger with me, and it’s been a total lifesaver. It works exactly as described—plugged it into my USB-C charger and it powered my Surface without any issues. No overheating, no connection problems, just simple and reliable charging. It’s also compact enough to toss in my bag without taking up any space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient charging alternative!

Works great as a compact travel charger. Its not great for a fast charge or for doing intensive gaming or anything, but it was able to slowly charge my laptop up during normal use. Very easy to use. Fits great and stores a lot easier than a full brick and cables. Nice value too.

I have gone through three power supplies for my Microsoft surface book 2. In each case the problem was the cable near the magnetic connector, you could tell by wiggling the cable to identify the section that had failed, and I could not find a replacement just for the cable that runs from the power block to the laptop. This adapter does the job, I can abandon the OEM-style power supply when it inevitable fails again and use a standard (high power) USB charger and cable instead. This adapter might be particularly useful when I travel since it lets me leave the OEM power block at home and instead use a standard (high-power) USB power block that can be shared with other devices. This adapter works well although, as another reviewer has pointed out, it is a bit narrow and only worked with the USB cable I choose with the connector in one particular orientation. In the other orientation the side of the laptop interfered with the USB cable connector.

Unfortunately, this product doesn't work for me. When I plug a USB-C portable charger into it, and connect it to my Surface, the light on the adapter comes on, but it doesn't charge my Surface. I double-checked with my partner's Surface, and the same issue occurred. I tried a different portable charger, and it still doesn't work. The design for this is also quite poor, and there is a big missed opportunity here. I don't know anyone with a table, or similar mobile device, who doesn't have it protected with some kind of case. Doing the test above required me to remove my case from both Surface devices because there isn't enough room for the length of the adapter, plus the USB-C cable head. The adapter should be an L shape to allow for plugging a USB-C into the side of the adapter, horizontal to the Surface. I'm really disappointed in this product.
