Would this work well with audio programs like Audition?

Thank you for reaching out. TourBox supports all audio software on macOS and Windows, including Audition. In Adobe Audition, you could map all keyboard shortcuts onto TourBox. Mouse actions are supported too. On TourBox, we’ve got a knob, a dial, and a scroll (and combinations). You could assign the mouse scroll on the knob, for instance, to control the height or width of the audio track, or toggle tracks very smoothly. To change parameters, you could simply hover the mouse pointer over it, and then adjust through the knobs. Our built-in algorithm allows you to control how frequently you want the commands to be sent. For instance, when you spin the knob faster, more commands would be sent, then you can change the track height faster. If you spin it slower, fewer commands are sent, then you change the track height slower. We also offer three different speed modes for deeper customization. Our TourMenu plugin allows you to collect all your favorite editing tools in a panel. With a simple click, you can access your tool panel, and then choose from it. This is considered a time saver for many content creators. In conclusion, compared to the unnatural movements on the keyboard, using the TourBox with a single hand, is way more comfortable, easy, fast, and intuitive. Is tourbox compatible with cyberlink powerdirector and photodirector?

Yes! It's compatible. Here are the details of how the TourBox can be applied in Cyberlink PowerDirector. 1. You can create a preset in TourBox Console, and bind it with PowerDirector. Under the preset auto-switch function, you can toggle the presets seamlessly when you work with multiple applications. 2. In this preset, you can map all the hotkeys onto the TourBox. 3. You can utilize the buttons by setting up the combined keys, double clicks, creating multiple presets, using our macro commands and TourMenu plugins, etc. 4. To adjust the parameters/values, right now, you need to use the mouse pointer to choose the values first, and then change them with the knobs. We are looking to develop more native plugins in the future, for more software including the Cyberlink PowerDirector, so that the user experience could be elevated. Does it disconnect when the Mac computer goes to sleep? It was a common issue with the previous gen.

Does this justify its $230 pricetag? Seems like it's a gamepad for editing, is the software really innovative enough to be worth it?

It's all very subjective at the end of the day. That said, I can't imagine working without it now. I work with multiple DAWs and video editors. Not only has it made my workflow much more efficient in those apps but in the OS as well. Also, the Elite version's ability to work with two separate systems makes it easy to work on both my iMac and Macbook. I use several controllers and this controller (and software) is the only solution that has allowed me to execute commands in a couple of the apps that nothing else could. So for the work that I do, it has certainly been worth it. Hope this helps. Best of luck in your decision.
