Davis Instruments Turbo Meter Wind Speed Indicator

Defective item. Went to install the batteries and some of the terminals are missing so the thing is useless.

Battery box components assembled incorrectly and batteries could not be installed on first unit. After replacement, the propeller sticks on the second unit giving false readings.The seller (Antonline) did not pay for shipping on the return for replacement $10+ ...Will not deal with them again.Contacted the Davis Co. and was offered a replacement unit...The Turbo Meter is finally working properly.

Definitely an anemometer that is best in its class for its price. Records wind speeds up to 100 mph (160 km/h) which is more than enough for handheld anemometers. Super accurate and display in m/s updates every 2/3 of second therefore catches gusts easily. Overall pocket size and great to use with its ultra bright display. Any weather enthusiasts out there who want an accurate anemometer over high wind speed range should really consider this! Got it for 112 dollars when Davis on its website is selling this for 165. That's quite the save!
