Guinness World Records 2019

Bought for my dad who used to be an avid collector of these books years ago. He was keen to get this particular issue as it was one he didn't have in his possession. Anyway the book was of good quality as it was described and no issues with binding or pages. I would recommend this item.

This is a really lovely book at a great price and is going to make a very welcome Christmas gift for a neighbour's young teen son. Lots of amazing facts and photographs,information with the "WOW" factor on every page and so much to read it's going to be a gift worthy of many hours of interest well beyond Christmas. I'd recommend this highly to anyone with youngsters...indeed all ages,really!...with inquisitive minds or simply seeking entertaining reading that also adds knowledge to the fun aspect. A perfect gift at any time but with Christmas not too far away this book can solve that "what-to-give" headache for almost anyone and at a super price too.

Whats not to enjoy about the Guinness book of records? These books are a must in our household at Christmas and we have them all dating back to 1986 when I used to receive them in my stocking at Christmas. Well I'm now the parent and have carried on the tradition with my daughters. These books and this one is no exception is as the title says full of Guinness World Records, from the weird and wacky to the plain ridiculous and some amazing feats that have been achieved. My daughters can be reluctant readers but they are always happy to flip open random pages of this book to look at the amazing photos and read the short passage detailing the record broken. This is one of those books which definitely benefits from being read in print form rather than on a kindle as the pages come more alive with the photography and artwork.

I was given my first copy of Guinness World records in 1973. I wish I still have it as I used to love pouring over the amazing achievements and jaw dropping feats of endurance. It was at the time that Roy Castle hosted a TV programme on World Records and sang "dedication" during the closing credits. The 2019 is brighter and brasher than the older versions and it just as full of incredible dare doing and crazy accomplishments. Some of the more dangerous records such as extreme eating are no longer included but there are newer sections that are equally as incredulous. This is a timeless classic that appeals to children and bigger children too.

I bought this book for my 10 year old Grandson and he really loves it. The quality is excellent and there is so much interesting information at his fingertips.

I buy this every year for my son who is now 12 and my 8 year daughter now loves reading it too. Will continue to buy at Christmas and I always find the best price for it is on amazon

My son asks for this book every year. An ideal present. Interesting factual information presented in a fun way with lots of pictures aswell as text. A great way to stimulate boys/children to read independently. Definitely recommend this book.

The Guinness World Records 2019 book was hands down one of the most beloved books in my classroom. I’m talking full-on rock-paper-scissors battles to decide who got to read it first during independent reading time. Kids who “weren’t into reading” suddenly had their noses buried in stats about the world’s largest hamburger or a jet-powered go-kart. Every page is packed with bright photos, crazy facts, and the kind of weird, wild information kids absolutely adore. wir haben es für unseren Sohn in der 8. Klasse gekauft, der Billingual unterrichtet wird und daher ziemlich sicher englisch spricht. Für alle, die "normales" Schulenglisch hatten, eher nicht empfehlenswert, da doch ziemlich viele Fachbegriffe enthalten sind.
