how much to feed?

Hello!  A very good question. The amount of you would feed your pet is based on how much they weight! On the bottle is shows a chart that certain weight ranges get certain amounts. 1-15lbs get 1/2pump or 1/4 teaspoon. 16-25lbs get one pump or 1/2 teaspoon. 26-50lbs get two pumps or 1 teaspoon. 50-75lb get 3 pumps which is 1.5 teaspoons and 76lbs and over get 4 pumps which is 2 teaspoons of Salmon oil in their food. For the first 3-5 days on salmon oil, we recommend the pet get's half their dose range as they get used to getting salmon oil in their food to avoid an upset belly.  I hope this helps! What color is the oil supposed to be when you open it?

The oil is 100% natural and derived from wild salmon, so the color may vary, depending on what Mother Nature provides. It can vary from a yellowish color to more of a deep rich color. my cats aren't crazy about fish.  Does this have a strong fishy taste & smell?

Thank you for asking your question! Yes, our Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil does indeed have a strong fishy smell and odor as it is made from 100% sustainably Wild Alaskan Salmon with no added ingredients.  We do not chemically reduce the natural odor of the oil so it is quite robust and we do not dilute it with any other types of oil.
