Excellent trap for catching feral cats for TNR. Opens at both ends. Easy for getting them use to eating out of the trap.

Trap size 26x9x9 is way too small for a feral cat. This probably better fit for skunks, moles or kittens. I should have checked the size of my havahart trap which was 32x12x10. It's of no use and can't return since it's past the return period. I just opened it today to start trapping ferals for tnr since it finally stopped raining. Better to just ordered directly from the tomahawk live trap website. I just bought 2 from tomahawk website with the correct dimensions for feral cats that is gravity triggered. This trap here is spring triggered meaning it will slam shut when cat steps on the trigger plate.

This live trap was purchased to fit the Tomahawk drop trap, but it is smaller than the accepted standard size for TNVR of community cats. There is a minimal gap when you hook it up to the transfer door, but it is not enough to allow an escape. I am not real keen on the size because some of the TNVR clinics have stated they will not accept community cats in cages that are considered too small. This one can accommodate a kitten or a small adult; it may be too cramped for anybody bigger. However, the quality of the trap is excellent. Hence the 5 stars, it is small, but it is mighty.

Urban restrictions to fur trapping may apply. Local animal control might not accept raccoons or other wildlife. The trap is easy and safe to use.

Easily the best trap for catching feral cats. Easy to use!!! Has a back door so the neuter team can easily remove the sedated cat and also put him back in. It is large enough to trap a full grown cat. Recommend

I get a lot of feral cats where I live, so I try to trap/neuter and release, handling them as little as possible, with the least amount of stress on the cat - and ME! I needed a vertical sliding door so I can transfer easily to carriers or from drop trap, AND I needed it to reliably set and trigger. This is super in both regards. Not the cheapest trap I've bought, but if it is reliable and easy to use, ans it is, it is well worth the price!

These are great when doing TNR work with feral cats. They open on the end so the cats can be removed and put back once they have had surgery. I love them.
