Amazon Basics Hard Shell Travel and Storage Case for Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED

This is a perfect case for the Nintendo Switch. It has divided sections that are specifically designed for each piece of the game console. There is a slot for the charging dock, game controllers, controller connector, the screen, cords, plus many games. Sorry I don't know the exact names of all those things, but you get the picture. It can hold all the basics/ essentials! One very minor downside to that is that there is very little room for anything else. So if you only want to carry the basic setup and a few games (which is all you really need), then this case is perfect! But if you want to use the case to carry anything else, then it won't work. The case is sturdy, and has a hard outer shell. The color is a simple black but I was thinking of painting a design on mine. The best part is that it is a much better price for the exact same case that Nintendo sells, just without the colors and branding. So if that doesn't matter to you or you're trying to save a few dollars, then I highly recommend this case!

Decent size storage case. I like the sturdiness and quality of the case. Amazon did a great job with protection and quality. Well padded and when it zips it creates a seal almost so it's very sleek. I would have liked to get the Nintendo Version but this one is more discrete. It's not too heavy with everything in it. It takes some getting used to trying to put everything in a certain way, mainly the AC Adapter since it is clunky. But overall feels great for the price and what I can carry. I've used it 6 times already, bringing it over to my friend's houses multiple times. I would like to see maybe an updated version to place game cartridges somewhere. Of course you could get a case for those separately and it'll be fine in the case but it would be cool to see that in future versions so new owners don't have to shell out more cash and carry more accessories.

I like that I can take my switch , the console, extra controllers, and chargers but it takes up a lot of room especially on an airplane which can be a bit frustrating. It is perfectly fit to what it is holding and is very protective for long journeys. great product.

Love this carrying case. While this is a amazon brand. It is borrowed the same plans from their official Nintendo case. Only difference is it’s price! I use this case a lot when I want to transport my entire system with me. It has room to hold my charger, dock, hdmi cable, extra pair of joy cons, joycon grip/or pro controller. Case holds up well to this day. A 5/5 stars.

Nice and sturdy carrying case for everything Switch related. I use it to hold my dock, pro controller, power cord, hdmi cord, joy con grips, game cartridges, and the Switch itself with both joy cons attached. Everything fits nicely except there’s only one spot for the joycon controller grip meaning you can either house that or the pro controller. Not a dealbreaker for me at all but just something to point out. It’s Big also so keep that in mind if you plan on flying with it it takes up a lot of space.

My son is headed out for deployment with Air Force :( I decided to buy him a Nintendo Switch to take with him but knew if he didn't have a case it would get destroyed. This case is fantastic. Plenty of space to hold all his gear and games. It seems rugged enough to take on the 18 hour flight and survive the beatings my son is sure to put it through. I'll try updating when he returns from deployment to let you know how it held up.

Hello I had got this case as a means to transport my Nintendo switch around town/wherever I want to bring my whole system setup (the dock charger and a extra controller) I have a black version and I like the rubber handle makes it easy and comftable to carry around. As for the outer shell it’s wrapped around a fabric so far it has not ripped on me or get caught on anything or have any tears ect. As for the material under it is a “clamshell” case and has a hard plastic surround under the fabric. It is definitely not gonna survive a car running it over but for your basic banged up against a wall or maybe a drop or two I am very confident in the case ability to protect the switch especially if you have it maybe in a backpack or in a car going somewhere. Just like the photos it has cutouts that go around your system so only the regular joycons would fit. Maybe if you were to try and fit the 3rd party joycons (maybe a hori split pad pro) in substitution of the pro controller cut out could something like that be possible. Also no aftermarket cases for the joycons would work (my joycons have a transparent clear case that has a ridge or “bubble” the gives me more space to grab the regular joycons” that would have to be removed in order to transport inside the case. Also no 3rd party controllers can be used only the official Nintendo pro controller would fit but everything else the dock and cables ect all fit inside in a nice convenient case. Thanks Amazon

After trying this for a few short excursions, I have nothing but regret for this product. It is a well-built case, but whoever designed this either made "guesses" regarding the accessories, or was a complete idiot. 1) ZERO options to store ANY physical games securely, other than "one" in the console. 2) The "slot" where one is expected to store the Nintendo OEM power adapter is awkward. I would never want any prongs of a power adapter exposed, and there just is not another way to store it. 3) The console and screen are semi-exposed, which makes any owner somewhat nervous. 4) You can only bring either a Pro Controller OR the JoyCon grip adapter. So anyone with both, (or two Pro Controllers,) must leave one behind. 5) There is room for the OEM Dock, but I do not know anyone hauling their OEM Dock everywhere. I would recommend investing in either a compatible USB C (HDMI) adapter, or any number of third-party docks available for less than Nintendo's $90 option. Overall, I would give it a solid 4-stars for the quality, but the lack of functionality negates any usefulness and longevity. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

It is an absolute necessity if you intend to travel with the Switch or store it in a safe place. I got it for a discount making the purchase really worthwhile though I wouldn't mind paying full price for it. It is just that good. The only downside it that it doesn't have space for storing game cartridges.

Me encantó este maletín, muy práctico, seguro y resistente. Vale lo que cuesta. Me gustó mucho el detalle del cierre oculto. Es muy espacioso, solo guardé el switch con sus accesorios habituales y sobra espacio. Todo va protegido y sin salirse de las ranuras del maletín. Lo recomiendo.
