DecoArt Americana Acrylic Gel Stains Paint, 2-Ounce, Walnut

This is how you refinish already finished furniture with no fumes, no stripping, and it's easy to apply.

I needed to stain the doors of a piece I bought on FB marketplace, but as you can see in photo, there was minimal wood that needed staining. I dislike oil based stains, gel stains, etc. and really couldn't justify buying an entire can to stain just a small amount, so I decided to give this product a try. The wood was basically a raw wood color, so the color you see here is all this stain! I do believe this stain is essentially a translucent paint of some kind, but it truly did the job, and did it easily! I only needed 2 coats to achieve the level of darkness I wanted. I used paper towels, dabbed on the smallest drop and wiped with the towels. They took up so much color but so much color was still left behind. No smell, dried quickly and was overall fantastic for what I needed it for. I used Maple here, but also purchased Oak, which didn't seem too different in color. I have SO much Maple left, so I can see this being used for a long time to come. Seriously made staining this piece so much easier.

Great product!

This was something I never used before. It was cheaper than most stains but did the job just as well. The color was beautiful and easy to build on. Only complaint, it seems like you have to use quite a bit when regular stain, a little goes a long way.

I use this on MDF for my crafts and it works great! It’s easy to use and it cleans up with soap and water.

Did a touchup on my hardwood floors where the professional floor refinisher screwed up and didn't do correctly and like in two minutes with a paper towel I smeared it on and it looks amazing. I used walnut finish for my wood floors that were refinished in a walnut stain. I am thrilled.

A good product. I used for a craft project it went on well and dries quickly. I would purchase again.

The product is probably fine - haven't used it yet. It took way too long to get it, though. And this was on Prime! Not sure if the seller is the problem or what, but it took a long time. Other than that, all's good. Just a heads up for anyone who's in a hurry.
