This support is so good. I suffer from ankle pain quite often with no apparent cause and nothing else I have tried has helped. Every step hurts and it really has a negative impact on my day to day life. That was until I found this support. I work in a restaurant so I’m on my feet all day and this support is often the only reason I can get through the shifts at all. I've found that wearing it over my sock is the most comfortable option and I can wear it all day with no serious rubbing. It can get a tiny bit uncomfortable if you’re walking a lot as it sits a bit thick on the bottom of the foot but it’s a small price to pay for almost complete pain relief. It also relieves pain pretty quickly if your ankle already hurts before you put it on. I also have had no issues with range of movement or sensation while wearing it and it is super comfortable to wear while driving. I do choose not to wear it while driving because I don’t have pain then but I have had the odd occasion where I have worn it without issue. I recently took a trip to New York and walked more than 20 miles a day with no pain relief other than this support and there is no sign of wear yet even though I’ve been using it near-constantly for months. I have drastically cut down the number of pain killers I’ve had to take since buying this and I’ve since purchased others to keep in my car and at work. I’ve recommended it to my manager and a friend and I would recommend it to anybody with ankle pain. DISCLAIMER: I would like to add that I PURCHASED my supports and this is a genuine review. Bought this after injuring my ankle in a fall. It provided much needed support to prevent twisting while the initial healing process took place. Also provided warmth to the area which was comforting. Will need to use it for a while as I am scared of injury happening again when walking outside as area is still tender. Found it easy enough to put on but couldn't bend or twist foot to begin with without causing pain. Good product and pleased with the support it gave me.

It does what it says and works brilliant.

I bought this product after badly spraining my ankle. I've been wearing it for a week now and it's supported my ankle well and speeded up my recovery, allowing me to practice my physiotherapy exercises without fear that my ankle will roll. It also helps to reduce swelling. Although I have yet to do any "proper" walking on it for any length of time because I still need more time to heal, I've found that the seams can be uncomfortable when worn against my skin, so I've been wearing it over the top of a sock and that improves it a lot. The velcro was fine on the one I received- it's firm but not excessively sticky and you can pull it off with one hand quite easily. I'm now ordering a 2nd one. Edited: the 2nd one purchased had extremely sticky velcro to the point where I could barely remove it, so there's obviously some quality control issues going on there!

I bought this to give my foot extra support after a bad ankle sprain. It was quite difficult to get on at first, as my foot was very swollen, but I noticed an immediate difference in the amount of support it gave my foot, especially around the top of my foot. As my ankle has continued to heal, I've found the ankle support to be very helpful, and now the only part of my foot that is still healing is at the side, and I can feel this ankle support keeping everything in place with no danger of me 'going over' on my ankle again. I have only used one out of the pair, and it has washed very well and not lost any of its stretch. I take a size 5 in shoe and have a broad foot. As I said, it was hard to get on at first, but you don't pull it on like a sock, but instead I found it is best to keep it rolled up, ease it over the toes using the thumbs of both hands to stretch it out as far as possible and then unroll it around the heel and ankle. For the money, this is an excellent product. I hope to start running again soon and will wear this ankle support until I am confident that my ligaments are all fully healed.

At the time of writing, I'm 4 weeks into recovery from a broken ankle with associated soft tissue damage on the top and outside of the ankle. I'm in a removable boot not a cast so have been able to use this as support at night (instead of the huge boot) over the last week - and for returning to gentle walking already. Simply, it works very well indeed. You can easily adjust the compression (tightness) and it holds reassuringly firm. I honestly think this will speed up my recovery substantially in the coming months. One lost star as you need a sock underneath it to compensate for some large seam stitching digging in. Great value product.

I sprained ligaments in my foot (specifically my ankle). I've tried and tested so many different types of compression items: socks, bandages, supports and even Kinesiology Tape. This by far when used properly (following instructions - weren't difficult to follow just took me a bit of practice to get aid I required) has proven more effective than all of the others. It can be worn over socks but my recommendation would be apply to bare foot for best results. This support has gel wavey lines on inside helps stick to skin comfortably, an elasticated heel loop and velcro fastening. I would however urge anyone recovering from any injury not to wear it all the time as it can weaken and aggravate your sprain/strain and impede the healing process. It's fine to walk around with it on I didn't personally find it uncomfortable. The advantage of this for me was I could choose (pin point) exactly where I needed the support instead of relying on a compression sock or bandage. Only difficulty I experienced was trying to get my trainers on without having to loosen them off a lot to accommodate the ankle wrap.
